I emailed the people over at Acatris asking what was up with the Flax Lignans/hair loss trials.
This is the response I got:
"A larger trial is scheduled to start in Europe later this year, but it
will go on for 1 to 2 years, so results will not be available for some
time, since the researchers will have to recruit 60 or more men, conduct
the study and then analyze the results. In addition to looking at hair
loss, the researchers will also investigate the effects of flax lignans
on markers of prostate health, since the mechamisms for both are related
to male hormones."
At least something is planned although it would have been cool if they were farther along with the trial.
