This is a quote from the singer of the band The Darkness.

"I think hair loss is a lot like death for most men, because it's much-feared and never fully explained," Hawkins said. "And when most men get ready in the morning, it's the first step in their grooming regiment. So frankly, I'm surprised that no one has written songs about [hair loss] already." (mtv.com)

I play music and have to say that I have thought about writing a song or two about this awful infliction.

That would certainly be interesting (a song on hair loss I mean) as you're right, I don't know of any artists that have ever done one before!

I read an article about The Darkness. I don't know a thing about that band, but the article said that more than one song on their latest album deals with hair loss.

I can just picture a situation where one of these songs comes on the radio and I have to experience awful awkwardness. Not looking forward to that.
