Has anyone given topical spironolactone a try? If so, how did it work out for you? Any side effects?

I have tried it for a little while, but gave it up due to its smell. It can be a little smelly, depending on how sensitive you are to it. It didn't do anything for me, but then again I didn't give it enough time to really say anything about it from a personal perspective. You don't have to worry about side effects when using it topically. It has been shown in extensive studies to be very safe (n.b. not orally). In theory, it should be a really good "weapon" against MPB loss, but in practice most reports/anecdotal evidence point to the opposite AFAIK and I have yet to see an in-vivo study showing significant results. I guess its effects are just too weak to make a difference.
