Did all of you who post here regularly have spontaneous regrowth of all your hair or something? Jacob and I are feeling a little lonely here...

Hi
I have been using Kirkland Minox for the last 6 months and 4 months ago I started using Proscar 1/4.
I was on a NW 5 but wasn't slick bald. All my hair was still there but it was very thin in diameter so I actually looked bald. Had to cut my hair no. 1-4 because it never grew longer that 1cm.(Vertex) Also the hair on my vertex was colorless.
I can't believe that my hair is actually growing back like before, in 6 months from now I'm not going to be bald anymore.
I lost my hair very slowly for the last 10 years.

Oh Sam,
That's cold. Of course, I haven't grown back all my hair. I'm trying not to think and worry about it so much. I know it's hard when anyone loses their hair, but it's extremely difficult for women.
Many men come to accept their hair loss, but no woman can accept her fate. I've started looking into cosmetic enhancements. I'm treating my hair loss, but I think I'll have to start covering it up sometime within the next 5 yrs. I just can't accept any level of visible thinness.
Hurry up Hair Cloning!!!

Hey Sam and the rest,
I am still here but dont check this site as much as I used to.
I am on the big three (Proscar 1.25mg, Minox 5% (2X day) and Nizoral 2% Shampoo (2X week)).
I began this regimen and am sticking with it and didnot want hair loss to take over my life.
That is why I havent been coming here.
I can now see new growth and it does appear that the hair is getting thicker around the hairlines but did not want to post until it was a 100%. When I saw Sams message I felt a bit bad not updating and keeping you guys up to date.
I guess my regimen is working and I am happy with what I have achieved so far.
I havent had any negative side effects so far.
And the awesome thing is that I am not shedding or have shaded. At one stage I thought I was shedding but I wasnt.
Sorry, I dont have any photos to show you guys. I took some photos when I started but deleted them by accident from my digital camera!
To all new people: Get on a good regimen and stick with it and live and enjoy your life.
Being positive is the key as far as I am concerned.
Cheers

Wow, I didn't mean to guilt-trip you guys so much!
You are all perfectly entitled to post here at whatever interval you please, or not at all for that matter.
I was more concerned with the state of the site, but of course if you're doing well enough or are staying positive enough that you don't need to visit here then by all means don't! You shouldn't have to think about hair loss all the time.
I guess I didn't realize that my post would have made you guys feel bad. Sincere apologies.
Best wishes to all of you for the holidays.
Regards,
Sam

Not at all Sam.
I will have to add my voice to my_username.
Sorry that my feeling bad made you feel bad
That was absolutely not what I meant.
After all I owe what I have achieved to you guys.
Maybe it is selfish of me not to visit this site more often to help other beginners just like I was helped when needed.
Sorry mate.
So, what do you think about my progress?
Cheers

Gaga,
I think your progress is great news! I hope you have even more success.
I was thinking about hair loss today a lot more than I have been recently (despite the fact that I have a site dedicated to the topic) because I got diagnosed by my derm as having yet another type of hair loss other than androgenetic alopecia.
I'm not sure if you guys remember but several weeks ago I mentioned that I had been diagnosed with scarring alopecia or cicraticial alopecia, but they didn't know what kind (there are several kinds of this condition). I freaked out then and did some research and found out that the term "scarring" doesn't mean you have a visible scar on the skin, but it means that you have scarring deeper within the skin where the hair follicles originate. This isn't visible but it kills the follicle so there's no chance it will grow back...
Anyway, today I found out what type of cicraticial alopecia it is. It's something called Lichen Planopilaris....a somewhat nasty form of hair loss. There's a chance that it will eventually go away, but in the meantime I could end up losing a lot of hair, and not just on my scalp but all over my body.
I'm really quite depressed about this. So I got to thinking about all you guys and gals and how I started this site so that people who are losing their hair and suffering from it (some people would laugh that I use the word "suffering" but it's not a laughing matter because the word does describe the way we feel) would have a place to get some support from people who care about their problem. And now I feel totally grateful to be able to talk to you guys about this crappy problem we all have (some worse than others) because it can really get you down sometimes.
I really hope each and every one of you finds what works for you to beat this thing. I sometimes feel guilty for being upset that I'm losing my hair, because there are so many things that are much worse than hair loss but it is a serious problem for us nonetheless, because it hits our self-esteem pretty badly.
Anyway, sorry for the tirade, but I needed to vent a little after today's diagnosis from the doctor. Just when I thought I had things under control with my androgentic alopecia, I discovered that I have another form of hair loss that can be even worse...
I wish you all the best and I promise to keep fighting this crap if you all do as well.
Regards,
Sam

Hi Sam,
I'm really sorry for not contributing to the forum for many months now. Its because my work has been very intensive and also in January I started trading in stocks so most of my "online" time is just researching about stocks, what to buy and sell...
But yes, another reason is the hairloss state is relatively ok. Vertex and mid scalp is maintained with the Big 3. (but note I don't use Rogaine but use the Remox III formula which is minox 5% + Retin-A + Azeleic acid. However the daily concern of a receding hairline bothers me all the time. Thats the only area I'm still losing the battle. Since last month I'm also on the 15% Remox which is minox 15% + Retin-A + Azeleic acid once daily only on the hairline. Its identical to Xandrox15 but with the added Retin-A Fingers crossed this will work!
By the way, Sam, I read your interesting interview with Dr.Lewenberg, but I think the Remox of Dr.Klein is better because his is 5% and has azeleic acid. I would be very glad if you did an interview with Dr.Klein whom is the maker of the Remox I use.
I'll try to post more often.
Cheers!
P.S. I must say the forum is much more busy than the earlier days! CONGRATS!!

Sorry I forgot to mention that I also apply Revivogen to help with my hairline.
So here's a complete guide to my regimen:
Propecia X1 day
Remox III spray (5% minox + Retin-A + Azeleic acid) X2 day
Remox III lotion (15% minox + Retin-A + Azeleic acid) X1 HAIRLINE ONLY
Revivogen X1 HAIRLINE ONLY (applying to other parts of the scalp stains my pillow! so I stopped)
Nizoral Shampoo X3/week
I'm considering to add Dr.Proctors Proxiphen to boost the hairline which I'm still losing.
If you want to interview Dr.Klein, please check http://www.physicianshairgrowth.com
I believe his products are very powerful.

Melchangmai,
Thanks for stopping by again.
It's always great to hear from you. Yeah I think it's a great idea to interview Dr. Klein. Let me see what I can pull off. I'm a bit strapped for time these days but I'll drop him a note and see how receptive he is. Thanks for the idea.
Glad to hear that things seem to be stabilizing for you overall, but yeah, the hair line is a tough area to fight the battle in for sure.
You've got quite a killer regimen now though. Keep us posted if you decide to go for the Proxiphen.
Cheers,
Sam
