Access to Scholarly Journals [Requests]

Post by hapyman »

Hey everyone,

For those of you that love to do research on your own I am sure that some of you have run into the same roadblock time and time again. That is we can get all the abstracts we want but the juicy material is trapped behind an Iron Curtain (made of money). Unfortunately I am not made of money and don't have access to the full array of articles I used to while in college. I am sure some of you are in the same boat but I bet some of you have access to these through other means, be it work or educational resources.

Anyway the point of this thread would be to ask (politely) for people WITH access to help those WITHOUT access in grabbing some articles. I figured we can just have a running thread where people can post the title and authors and then the whomever can come along and post either a link to the pdf or just paste the text.

An easy thing would be to just upload the material to a file sharing site like http://Drop.io or Megaupload. Drop.io is nice because it is free and doesn't require any registration to upload and share a file.

So let me know what you guys think.

Bryan Shelton seems to be able to get quite a few at his "library". I sometimes wonder if he gets them via Dr. P.

Thanks Moximus I may take you up on that offer. I've been trying to use my sisters access since she is still in nursing school but her access is still very limited.
