Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself and get some opinions on something crazy.
Firstly im here from regrowth.com and anywho whose read any of my posts there probably think im either stupid or crazy as most my threads are different/wierd, unique? =) Anyway i just like to throw around ideas that people may not have discussed as it mite help others more knowledgable realise something they may have missed.
Anyway to kick things off i have one question and please everyone read this line atleast.... 'I am not planning and highly doubt i would ever do the following'.
I just want people opinions on how the scalp would heal/regenerate if the whole scalp was peeled off down to the subcutaneous layer of fat.
My first thought is that it would all scar something crazy. In reality it would only be a few mm of skin right? Does anyone think the body would regrow new hair?
The body has a great power to heal itself and im just curious to hear what people think would happen?
And remember 'I am not planning and highly doubt i would ever do it (unless proven to work =))'

Well, that's sort of what Follica is doing, right? Well, not necessarily pealing down the skin to the fat, but it's definitely exacerbated wounding!
I think the whole key is healing, and I don't think the human body ON IT'S OWN has the ability to heal like that. The "ACell" product that is used by vets is headed towards that direction -and I know people were testing it on transplant scars, but I think it gave poorer results than expected (I could be wrong, but that's what I remember). I think one of the main aspects of Follica is using something that increases stem cells to radically heal the scalp, which includes regeneration of the follicles.
I may have those details wrong, but it's pretty much the same greater point -you need to do "unnatural" amounts of healing for this to work! Follica seems to think it will, though.

Re: SCALPED HEAD
I like this quote as it didn't come from a hair loss forum
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I broke the outer bone on my right hand this year, beating a dog on the head that I thought was going after one of my little granddaughters. The break was so painful that extreme nausea set in, and it was all I could do to drive myself home that night. I used the zapper on it, that I got from Ken, see above, and not only did it heal without setting it, but a WHOLE lot of new hair grew out of that part of my hand. It almost appeared to have been trapped underneath my skin, and I could watch the new growth emerge daily. The broken bone didn't penetrate my skin at all, so THAT was interesting to see

Re: SCALPED HEAD
pretty interesting story. To be honest my highest hopes are with certain forum members finding the hairloss trigger before the big companys but ill be happy to see it either way.
Jdp whats your view on the pauling protocol added with Serrapeptase & Nattokinase?
Has anyone reported trying this before and do you think it holds alot of promise? Id never hold you to your word but id like to hear your opinion....
Im also gonna add copper peptides to it all also + lasers per usual.

Aw, shucks, there goes the neighbourhood! Cuebreeze with his crazy therories has arrived at HLF!cuebreeze wrote:Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself and get some opinions on something crazy.
If you think about it an read up a little about Follica I'm sure you'll realize a wound that deep and big would create severe scarring. Remember seeing HT scars? Imagine doing the same damage over the entire head!
Follica does not damage the scalp anywhere near that extent. They only disrupt the epidermis which is generally about 1 mm thick or so. That is the first layer of skin. Below that is the dermis which is up to about 3 mm, and going even deeper you'll find the subcutaneous fat.
Humans do not have the ability to "regenerate" to any significant extent, with a few minor exceptions, at least not without artificial measures. We create scars instead. Through evolution it was apparently safer and more successful to close up the wound as soon as possible with a scar than try to go through a lengthy regeneration phase and run the risk of infections and possibly cancers in the process. I would venture to guess that in animals with that capability, the regenerated body parts are inferior to the originals as well.

Hey cuebreeze,
I forgot about this thread, sorry. This site takes a little while to get use to.
To answer your question though Espio while not doing exactly the Pauling Protocol and enzymes such as Serrapeptase & Nattokinase is doing something very similiar. He mentioned something along the lines that it's going very well for him and he's been on it for several months. There was a review at iherb how Serrapeptase made her husbands hair was in better shape or something along those lines
Hadrion is doing the Pauling Protocol with Serrapeptase and just posted a good review today.
I'm personally spending a lot of money with Pauling Protocol, Serrapeptase and Nattokinase as well as many other things such as high dose Lugol's (i.e. iodine) to combat Lp(a) and fibrin and I'm positive that heart disease is the reason for my hair loss. LLLT (laser blood irradiation) also works very well for fibrin, hypercoagulation and possibly Lp(a) but no real proof on Lp(a) as it's not studied nearly as much as LDL (bad) cholesterol. I'm also using many other things to help get as much regrowth as possible so I'm not really the best test subject, lol, especially considering I don't have a problem with hair loss anymore. But I can definitely see how this would help other people.
But yeah, that DKK-1 thread is very experimental.
Anyway, check out Hadrion's post on page 7. http://immortalhair.forumandco.com/natu ... 077-90.htm
Here is a quote
"As for my hair, I've stabilized everything since I started adding in the Pauling Protocol, serrapeptase and upped my iodine intake as well. I really wish I started off with it from the get go."
As for why iodine here is a quote "Under performing thyroid is strongly correlated with elevated Lp(a)" More info here

Re: SCALPED HEAD
If we could damage the scalp enough so our bodies start to heal that area, and then say hair starts to grow back, wouldn't MPB just start over again?
About Thyroid... I know a poor performing Thyroid can cause hair loss but it wouldn't cause hair loss in the MPB pattern only would it? It would occur all over the scalp and possibly body. Taking Iodine is good if your Thyroid is underactive, but taking too much Iodine... wouldn't that cause an overactive Thyroid? thus causing hair loss?
I have 500 tablets of 500mg Kelp (Around 250mg Iodine inside). They are just sitting there, only had about 5 tablets in the last month. They weren't mine, they belonged to a family member.
