Dear Fellow Sufferers,

First of all congratulations on this great website.

My hair loss problem started about 3 to 4 years ago with a receding hairline. I am now 24 and have been using Propecia for a year. I am very satisfied by the results. It seems that I am no longer losing any hair at the top and the back of my head and I also think it I have regrown some in these areas. Everything now looks great except for ... the temples. Is there any way to regrow hair at the temples?

From reading in these forums I was hoping Minoxidil would do the trick. That was until I checked a website on generic Kirkland Minoxidil which said: "Not intended for use on frontal baldness or receeding hairline."

Are there any products you know of that could work (and that are available in the UK).

It says that on the box because when they were getting minoxidil FDA approved, they only treated the vertex on the subjects. Minoxidil can and does work on the hairline and in the frontal part of the scalp, just not as well as the back. A great products for the hairline/temples is Xandrox15. Xandrox15 is a 15% minoxidil product that is available at http://www.minoxidil.com You should check that out, it has grown some hair for me as well as Morphollica himself.

Sorry for the late reply. Life has been very hectic for me lately. Thanks for the compliment on the site.

I am happy to hear that you are satisfied with your results from Propecia. Whatever you do, DON'T STOP! I have stopped treatments that worked for me in the past out of laziness or just getting to comfy with the results, and I still regret it.

As for the temples, blueshard's recommendation is the same as mine. Xandrox15 has been pretty effective for me in growing hair at the temples. Check out the following close-up picture that I took a few months ago. Their are quite a few little hairs starting to grow in front of the more terminal, thick hair. Since taking this pic some of the regrown hair seems to have thickened (I think). I'll post a new pic soon for comparison. It does take a long time, but it works.

Hi everyone,

thank you for your reply Morphollica. Don't worry, I won't stop using Propecia. However, since it is rather expensive I would like to know if any generic versions of Propecia are available and if a switch to the generic version would not cause any problems. On one website I found a product called Finpecia, which claims to be a generic version of Propecia but it is produced in India...I am not sure if that is a problem.

Unfortunately I have not been able to find neither Xandrox not Kirkland Minoxidil in the UK. So I guess I will have to order over the Internet. I found Kirkland Minoxidil 4 months supply for $29.93 which is surprisingly cheap compared to Regaine. Are there any pharmacy websites that your would recommend or other that you would advice against? However, I don't want to cause any problems with the 'sponsors' of this site.

There are no direct sponsors for this site. The only advertising on this site is done through Google. I owe fealty to no one. You are not creating problems for this site!
