It's past 4am in the morning on July 3rd. I have been catching up on messages in these forums and my email. And I have also added a new editorial, updating my progress:

http://www.morphollica.com/editors_corn ... orialid=51

And a new news item:

http://www.morphollica.com/?newsid=26

It's been tough trying to find time to work on the site. But this place has really become a passion for me. I started this site as an experiment to accomplish a few things at the same time:

1) I wanted to showcase my progress (or lack thereof) in treating my hair loss.

2) I wanted to learn as much as I could about hair loss, what causes it, and how to treat it. And I wanted to compile that information and provide it to people who are going through what I am going through with hair loss. I wanted to create a safe and honest place for people to get information on this condition, and to act intelligently on that information. I think I've got the basics down now.

3) I wanted to learn how to setup and administer a quality website. I figured out how to do that too.

I have a degree in computing science, so picking up the HTML was pretty easy for me. I have a day job that pays relatively well, working as a Systems Analyst. I also teach Linux and Unix, along with Apache for the University of British Columbia. The two jobs combined eat up an enormous amount of my time. I enjoy the work, but I have found that I am constantly looking forward to finding some time to improve this site and to talk to you in the forums. The site is still in its infancy. I have a lot of work to do still.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you who have used this site, and contributed to it with your comments and questions. Thanks for taking the time to contribute to the growth of this site. There are a lot of other great sites out there with a lot more people in their forums. What I have found here at Morphollica.com is that the people that speak here tend to be thoughtful and intelligent individuals. I hope this trend continues, and I hope you gals and guys continue to believe in this site.

This site is not a big revenue maker in my life, considering the hours I have put into it. In fact, the only revenue this site makes currently is from advertisements. For two years I ran the site and didn't make a dime, and didn't intend to make a dime. The money this site make simply covers the cost to keep it going. The reason I mention this is because in the past some people have questioned my intentions. The three items above are my intentions, but by far the highest priority item is #2. I am really happy to see that so many of you are taking the correct actions to deal with your hair loss. That is my reward for this site. To turn this place into what I envision -- the most comprehensive, up-to-date, and honest source for hair loss treatment information -- I have to dedicate a lot more time and a lot more focus. Your use of this site will help it grow, and others will benefit. Get ready to see this place grow into much more than what it is now.

Thanks again,
Sam

Thanks for the kind words Sam. In reality we should thank you. Really thanks for such a wonderful and informative site.

The outstanding point of your site compared to others is you can feel the spirit of the site. Its probably due to the heartful attention you give to all sections of the website and the forum as well.

Keep up the good job!

I just wish I had more time melchangmai! I'm actually thinking of quitting one of my jobs just to focus the time saved on the site.
