Hi people,
It's my first time in this forum and have decided to seek for advice.
It's already a year ago that I stop my treatment with finasteride due to strong side effects. The state of my hair was again getting worse and therefore I decided to try with a topic solution containing an antiandrogen. I have used minoxidil for 6 years and now I have changed to a more completed potion made of 3% minoxidil and 1 % espironolactone disolved in Actifol solution.
So far it seems to be working fine, I would even say that Im regrowing some hair, though it's early to say. However I am a bit concern about the use of spiro since you never now how much is diffusing into blood, which could cause nasty side effects in longer term. I can already feel that I go to toilet very often and that my hands are very dry.
Anyone who using spiro has noticed any side effects? Is it risky to use this kind of topic? Are side effects likely to occur?
I would be grateful if someone could tell me something.
Thanks a lot!!
Cheers

Hi Federick,
Sorry for the late reply. I think spiro is a good treatment, but use it sparingly because it is very strong. And make sure to give it enough time to start working for you. Even a hair transplant can take up to a year to grow in, so any topical or internal treatment can take much longer, but overall I think topical spiro is a good option if used sparingly.
I'm not a doctor so this is just my opinion. Don't take this as medical advice and make sure you ask a real doctor before using anything to treat your hair loss.
