Confused

Post by Dod »

I have recently added spironolactone 5% to my regimen which was previously xandrox 15 and 5. The problem is my hair is rather long and i dont feel im getting the spironolactone absorbed into my scalp properly therefore not really effective, what is your opinion if i switch to spironolactone 2% which if i recall is a solution like xandrox. Is it effective ?

I also was considering trying revivogen in the mornings to help boost my regimen however this has azelaic acid in it like xandrox...will this be a problem ?

Essentially how would i use all three substances together and is it necessary to be using all 3 ?

Any advice always appreciated.Cheers

The 5% spiro cream is hard to get over the scalp especially with long hair.

The 2% seems like it would be must easier the get complete coverage with.

I am not sure if one is more effective than the other but I can only assume that there is not THAT big of a difference and if you are getting better coverage with the 2% than it may turn out to be more effective since you are hitting up more areas and with better absorption.

I do not think that there is a problem with adding Revivogen. I know that too much azelaic acid can irritate the scalp but you may not experience this.

Is it necessary to use all three? I don't know because everyone is different. What I do know is that there are some people who like to use topical spiro along with Revivogen because they feel it mimics the effects of internal finasteride.

I am not sure about what order to put on these topicals or when to apply them. To get that answer I would definitely sent Dr. Lee an email. He always takes the time to respond. You could also just ask him in the experts section of this site.
