Morphollica, your hair looks great with the Dermatch. Could you answer a few questions for me, please?

Which would you advise that I purchase Dermatch or Couvre? I think couvre just colors the scalp whereas Dermatch gives hair a bit of volume?

Is it noticeable to others that you have Dermatch in your hair?

Does it last all day, or would it fall out as the day progresses, or say for example if you were to go running or similiar would it sweat out?

Does it easily smudge pillows at night, or once it has been applied and dried would it stay in & firm until its washed out?

Would it come out if you were to go swimming.

Also, have you tried Toppik? Do you think it maybe too much of a risk as it might easily fall out, especially if i was to stroke my hair?

The reason I ask so many questions is because I'm going on holiday for 3weeks and I'm going to be sharing a relatively small leaving space with 4friends, who I'd rather didn't know the full extent of my hairloss if you know what I mean especially because I'm losing my hair at such a young age, 19.

Thanks, I really appreciate your time

-->The are both good. Personally I prefer Dermatch. After it dries it does indeed add volume.

Is it noticeable to others that you have Dermatch in your hair?

-->Nobody has ever let me know that they noticed. I think it is not noticeable, especially when you have enough hair in the area where you apply it. I think you need about 15% coverage in the areas where it's applied. At the hairline you have to learn how to taper the stuff and blend it in properly so that it's not noticeable. This is a bit tricky, but once you learn it it's very effective.

Does it last all day, or would it fall out as the day progresses, or say for example if you were to go running or similiar would it sweat out?

-->I have worn it for 3 days in a row once. It does not fall out at all and yes, I have worn it at the gym and when I was swimming without any problems.

Does it easily smudge pillows at night, or once it has been applied and dried would it stay in & firm until its washed out?

-->It does leave some residue on your pillow. The best thing to do is wash it out at night if you don't want any residue.

Would it come out if you were to go swimming.

-->No, I have as I mentioned above gone swimming with it and it has stayed put.

Also, have you tried Toppik? Do you think it maybe too much of a risk as it might easily fall out, especially if i was to stroke my hair?

-->I have tried Toppik and in my opinion it just doesn't compare to Dermatch. Easier to apply, but easier to spot as well and yes it does come off a whole lot easier.

The reason I ask so many questions is because I'm going on holiday for 3weeks and I'm going to be sharing a relatively small leaving space with 4friends, who I'd rather didn't know the full extent of my hairloss if you know what I mean especially because I'm losing my hair at such a young age, 19.

-->Losing hair so early really sucks, but if you are doing everything you can to fight it don't think about it too much. Keep your hair short, it will look thicker, and enjoy your holiday!

Sam

I read somewhere in the Bald Truth that there was something in the middle between Toppik and Couvre which he said was really good. I can't remember it now. Is Dermatch what he was talking about??

Not sure, but it may well be. I really like it for those times where I may not want to show a bald spot.
