Going to work with Dr. Yechiel on a custom topical

I've sent Dr. Y an e-mail about what characteristics I'd like the topical to have... Will let you know what it's going to be once we get it all figured out.

I really like the concept of the formulator.

I am very interested in this but I don't have the cash right now. Do you know what ingredients that you are looking to put in there yet or are you waiting for Dr. Y's response?

James, yeah I am waiting for Dr. Y's response. I told him what characteristics I'd like to see in a custom topical and I am waiting for his recommendations.

I also asked him what he thought about Evodia Rutaecarpa.

I'm trying to decide what my next one will be too. I really like my current one so may get that again- w/out the caffeine. One of his other topicals of theirs I'm using already contains it..and I had it added to their shampoo.

Unless I can have the spin traps and maybe even apple peel extract added to NanoScalp or one of the others. But then it won't have the other ingredients...

Sam..do you have any opinions on the Demodex mites issue? Some are using Seabuckthorn oil for that..I wonder if it could be used as a "base" for a topical via Elsom's Formulator.

I think the Demodex theory doesn't hold much water at least when it comes to male PATTERN baldness. The only way to account for the fact that the baldness follows a pattern is that it's in the genes. If Demodex was a big factor, I think you'd see more patchy hair loss, or hair loss all over. I was intrigued by the theory when I first read about it though.

I don't think it holds much water either. It was brought up again in another forum and it's crazy the # of ppl that are jumping on that bandwagon. Some of the things being used for it may work in other ways though..including Seabuckthorn. Tea tree oil is another..and it's already in Zormazor.

I was just thinking of Manuka honey again..wonder if it'd be something Dr. Y could/would use. Or even Manuka oil. But then I remembered the ZormaZor plus royal jelly. Maybe royal jelly would make more sense..if it can be added to a custom topical.

Well the royal jelly is available via the Formulator..so I may be adding that. Spin traps and apple peel can be added to the existing products. Decisions decisons...

I did receive a detailed e-mail back from Dr. Y a few weeks ago, but it didn't quite address the points that I had hoped for. He recommended that I use some of his existing topicals.

I may just do so, but I still would prefer a custom one that meets the specific needs I had. I'm going to reply back to Dr. Y to clarify.
