Custom shampoo

Post by Jacob »

Well I finally ended up ordering some stuff from this lady: http://www.herbal-gardens.net/hair-loss-shampoo.htm

I liked the idea of being able to explain what my hair and scalp is like..and also choosing my own scent 8) I also ordered a "hair rinse" even though I haven't used such a product in ages. It's only to be used once or twice a month..so I thought I'd give it a try.

The ingredients are all natural. The smell is unreal. I've been asked a few times already what shampoo or cologne I'm using. Some of the ingredients are: Nettle leaves..horsetail...comfrey leaves..jojoba oil..rosemary oil & clarysage oil. There are others and obviously it may vary depending upon what info you'd give her.

The shampoo is quite runny compared to what most are used to. But the bottles have flip-up tops so I've just been squeezing a bit in my hair a little at a time...lathering it up..and letting it sit. It does lather up quite nicely but the suds go away quite fast.

The rinse is made with white wine vinegar as well as apple cider vinegar: http://www.herbal-gardens.net/hair-rinse.htm I could feel this stuff on my scalp :!:

Eventually I'd like to try some other scents...maybe ask for something not on her list. I wonder if she'd do chocolate.

I don't think that you want to walk around smelling like chocolate!

My favorite shampoo as far as smell goes is Nioxin.

It does not smell like feet or dirt. :!:

That looks like a neat website. I'm always changing my shampoo. Maybe I'll try one of these.

One thing about the cinnamon..it's one of the ingredients in FNS. Do a search for cinnamon at alt.baldspot to see why.

I am with Sam. Nioxin is awesome. If I had the money though I would be trying other shampoos like these custom ones.

Does this shampoo help hair loss or is it just for washing (and smelling good  )?

Well she actually "advertises" it for hairloss. The ingredients are all known to be beneficial for hairloss..so it can't hurt- unless of course you're allergic to something.

Nioxin seems to be around the same price if going by per oz..at least the places I checked. I've never used their shampoo or other products.

I just picked up some of JASONS NATURAL JOJOBA SHAMPOO. Makes the scalp feel good, it smells good and may have some benefits for hair loss.
