I've found the interview with Ken Washenik I referred to a few weeks ago:

Not sure if it's good news. Washenik says that he expects the first HM product to come out in 2009, but he also says that this would only be the first generation, and that it would primarily be used to add some density after a conventional hair transplant.
I can't help thinking that the product we've all been waiting for (i.e. one that allows you to grow a full head of hair - even if you're completely bald) is still years, or even decades away.
