re-shed?

Post by hans »

Hi guys, got a question about minoxidil and shedding. I'm on my fifth month of 5% Xandrox 2x's daily. I experienced the initial shedding during the first couple weeks but ended around week 3. Then I started to grow a decent amount of vellus hairs on my hairline. But recently when I apply my topicals, I shed alot of these short vellus hairs. Is this a good thing, like a reshed so it can grow out thicker on the next cycle, or is it a bad thing?

It seems that sheds come and go and can be unpredictable. Those hairs you shed will probably come back thicker and longer and stronger. People on hair loss regimens and who are using treatments seem to go through shedding phases. I wouldn't sweat it. If you are seeing results at 5 months, then that it awesome and you will most likely continue to see more and better results!

Like blueshard implies above, it's too soon to tell probably. Sadly, shedding seems to go with the territory when one is treating their hair loss, if we are to believe the anecdotal reports that many people make in the forums.
