I noticed it about five years ago, I don't think its gotten thinner over the past 5 years (it does'nt come out in clumps or fall out) but its on both sides just above my ear, toward the front, and above the side burns, its around an inch high and around inch wide of an area where it's pretty thin and feels a little different then the rest its like thin with little curls while the rest of my hair is UNBELIEVABLY thick with big curls. When its cut short you can see the scalp but when it's grown out you really can't tell. Will I go bald on the sides of my head as I age or is this just genetics and normal for some people? also it grows slower than the rest.

People tend to have less hair there, naturally. If the texture is changing to corkscrew-looking hair, then I've heard that is a predictor of DHT-related hair loss. I don't really know. I doubt you'd lose all of your hair right there.
