Here is Bosley's latest timeline for hair cloning (but, I won't be jumping up and down until they actually do it

Cloning is the newest hope. Washenik said Bosley researchers have met with the FDA and will apply for clinical trials. He hopes it can be an approved treatment by late 2008. Other researchers and businesses also are developing cloning techniques.

How can that be...3 years from now? Do they say these things just to get investors or ???

I just can't see something like this getting approval that fast. Unless I'm missing something...

I read an article about a british company toying with hair cloning that predicted they would have it available to the general public at 2010. I imagine bosley is just as on top of their game if not better so 2008 seems like a good estimate. As I recall, the british company had already successfully performed the cloning, it was a matter of a few factors which they had not perfected yet such as making the cloned hairs grow in the right direction to look natural and making sure there were no unexpected side effects to such a treatment like... I dunno cancer or something. I mean they got to be sure there's genetically created cells aren't going to mutate the other healthy cells you already have!

Hey familyguy, what was the name of that British co.? BTW, I ran the "hair multiplication" search on Google and this site came up on the second page. Found that kind of amusing.

familyguy, I think the British company you're talking about is Intercytex and apparently they've already lined up Bosley to handle the procedures in the United States.

I could be wrong. But, that's the way I understand it. Intercytex finished Phase I FDA trials with Phase II slated for 2006, and Phase III for 2007. Usually, there's at least a one year waiting period after successful conclusion of Phase III before the FDA gives the greenlight.

2008 is very optimistic.

You know I actually found the article for that british company by poking around on google with the search query I had previously mentioned. I believe Tricia had the right name for the company though. I am excited about this development. The thought of never having to worry about hair loss again is not only exciting but actually a real possibility in the next few years. Sam what will happen to morphollica.com after that? You're going to have to pick a new topic to be an expert about. hehe
