Which picture looks worse?

Post by Alcyone »

So which of these pictures looks worse?

This picture below is current (8/24/05) and was taken this evening. This morning, I used some Nizoral shampoo in the shower, so my hair is fairly dry. FYI, I've been on minox 5% for 3-4 weeks and propecia for 4-5 months. I've been worrying that the excessive minox shed is making a cosmetic difference.

The below is a picture is from 4/5/04. Im standing in the sun and the camera angle is more straight on than the above picture, so you don't have as much of a direct view of the top of my head. My hair in this picture was previously died black as you can probably tell (aproximately a month before). The natural color was just starting to show. My hair was more oily in this picture than the above.

So what do you guys think? Is one worse than the other or are they the same? Am I worrying about the minox shed too much?

It's strange though. At the time the second picture was taken, I never noticed crown thinning, although it was obviously there. Perhaps I didn't notice it because I was drinking a lot at the time. Also noticed my facial skin is in much better shape now than it was before. Perhaps that's related to the drinking also. Anyway that's a different topic. :P

Thanks in advance!

I can't really tell any difference between them. In my opinion they look the same!

I guess sometimes it's tough to tell from just photos alone, but I think you're doing just fine. You should keep taking monthly pictures of your regimen over the next several months. I find that when you have several months to compare all together it's easier to see a trend either way, (whether you're growing more or losing more hair).

Thanks for the opinions. While I did notice lots of hairs falling out directly after applying minox (which freaked me out), I can't concluded it's made a definate degradation/cosmetic difference to my hair. After looking at a bunch of old pictures of myself on my computer, and zooming in on my scalp in those pictures, it has occurred to me that I could just now be noticing more of my the hair loss problem than before, regardless of whether things have degraded or improved.
