Do you think it could be caused by using a generic verson?

no..its not cause of generic...whether its generic or not , the active ingredient is finasteride.....and fin is fin....and as its being marketted by merck here , its aproved by them , and its called "proscar" . the only thing people are scared of in generic meds is whether the fin is evenly distributed throughout the tab. that..and they're scared of getting fakes. i think my sides prove that the tabs are the real deal. just that the sides are freaking me out...and my hair looks worse than ever. i've just finally reached the point where i cant style it anymore, its just flat and limp and curly .. it used to be thick , straight and bouncy...lol.

The sexual side-effects can diminish or go away after the first few weeks of use. Once you discontinue fin. they go away completely if you experienced them.

Also, you should know that in the trials even the placebo group reported sexual-side effects. They do happen with fin. but the incidence is rare and for most the severity is not so bad.

thanks sam...yeah everybodys been telling me to give it at least a month..

the worst thing is..

i just shampoo'd last night ...used the sink , was in a hurry...while washing..the water level kept rising..so i stopped to check...the top of the water was covered with hair!..could barely see the water...i turn the tap off..and the water level went down till i saw..that i had clogged up the sink with at least 200 hair....i've never ever lost above 40 ..so i guess it was a fin/minox shed..

now my hair looks worse than ever...thinned out so bad from the shed...cant style it anymore..lost around 60 hair again today..how long do these sheds keep up? and if they do what in Gods world am i trying to maintain? the hair that i keep losing to fin?!!

this shedding thats caused by fin...is it just a medication induced t.e ? cause i hear its not to be taken as a good sign or a bad one...

and will this hair grow back or do i wait a year for it to return..

another thing...say somebody who didnt have mpb, took fin...would they experiance a shed as well?..

Hi, Ive been using proscar for about a month. The thing is, not much sexual side effects, I can still get it up and get a good orgasm out of myself soooo thats not a problem. However, I find it difficult to concentrate and work as fast as I use to, (at my job not in bed) and I wonder if its the proscar thats messing up my concentration and coordination. But, the shed is fine, I lose about 20 hairs or so, not much, the usage of minox and revivogen helps. Im 21 so Im not sure if taking proscar is a good idea but Im risking to find out. Its fine besides the difficulty concentration and getting motivation part but that could also be from the stress Ive undergone lately. Who knows...

hm...actually..alot of users complain of a 'foggy mind' as one of the sides of finasteride. you're right it could be because of your stress as well.

my shed isnt going away...i'm losing over a hundred hair a day, and the worst is i'm losing hair from the back like anything as well. i thought hair in the back and sides were in the safe zone. why is this shedding to be taken as a good sign then.

i carried out the t.e pull test on myself 10 times on the back of my hair. each time came out with 4-5 hair. clogging up the sink and hairs looking worse than ever.

losing more short hair than long. they say if it tapers off at the end then it means the hair is going through a short anagen cycle and thats bad, but i cant really make out if its tapering or not. the hair on the back of my head does seem miniturized ALL of a sUdden!..the hair i'm losing even from the back are weak and then. happened after fin intake too.
