I always look like this  when I try to approch a girl because of my hair loss. I'm sick of feeling like this all the time. just wondering what other guyz think about this and if you have any techniequs that work for you when trying to meet girls.

Hey HerAlopeca are you attracted to guyz losing hair? Be honest. thanks.

I think being confident helps most with this case. Though there are girls who would turn you down once they know about our head (after taking off the hat), there are those who are willing to meet the real you.

It's just physical apperance, but give them some time to know you, and that bald spot will eventually disappear from their mind.

Keep it up!

I agree with matteo,

Confidence is the key. But that's easier said than accomplished. Few things you can do to gain more confidence:

1) Get active. Check out mags like Men's Health and start hitting the gym, running, playing tennis, whatever. Just get active. Participate in some kind of sport or physical activity and make this a life-long habit.

2) Do the best you can with what you have. Losing your hair (or lost most of it already)? Then get a close-cropped hair cut, dress sharp, then don't worry about your looks. Worrying is half the problem.

3) Join some kind of a group or club that encourages you to speak publicly. This will really help the confidence levels.

4) DON'T BE DESPARATE! This is the surest sign to a woman that you are insecure. Instead of thinking about what how the woman thinks you look, turn things around... By that I a mean make HER the focus of YOUR attention silly! Don't be obnoxious or pretentious. Here's a method I used that worked very well in my single days (because it's sincere, and it focuses the attention on the woman and not YOU). Most women (and people in general) have something that they are a bit insecure about, or self-conscious about... Just look at yourself and how worried you are about your hair loss. In a social setting, observe the prospective woman that you want to approach. Does she have a nice smile but rarely uses it? Find what it is that she is self-conscious about, then when the opportunity comes to talk to her, let her know that you have a weakness for that specific trait! If she has a nice smile, let her know this! Tell her that you can't resist a smile like hers. She can't help but smile... then whenever she smiles, every now and then say something like "please, stop torturing me! I can't resist that smile"... Trust me... this worked for me a lot. Again, the point is to focus on HER not YOU. Don't be a dumbass, if the woman doesn't respond, move on. Be a gentleman. Make her laugh. That's 90% of the work. The rest is all gravy.

Don't be like this:

Be like this: :D and like this:

And be careful not to be like this:

Sam

Hitting on chicks

Post by Lesley »

er....hitting on chicks !!!!! My first bit of advice is watch the terminology...I know that I'm an old fogey but this would put me off !!
Secondly, I lost my hair 6-7 years ago, I met plenty of men most of whom suddenly decided that they were not attracted to me once they knew about my 'problem'....this ate away at my confidence significantly as I am quite an outgoing person and dont harp on about hairloss constantly..in fact I forget about it when I'm socialising. I expect people to accept me for who I am + got quite a shock when I realised how shallow + superficial so many people are.
The good news is that I met a man 7 months ago who loves me for who I am + couldnt care less about what I look like without my wig.
Do not bother with any 'chick' who is only concerned about appearance you deserve better than that....do not accept 2nd best out of despair, only associate with people who nurture your confidence because there are unfortunately far too many people out there not worth bothering with who will eat away at your self esteem. You will find someone who loves you for who you are + that is what we all deserve. Good luck :)

i lost all of my hair 6 years ago, I believe that it was triggered by the use of venlafaxine (Efexor)antidepressant that I was on for a year, has anyone else had this experience and how long have you had no hair ?
