Hi to all..I have been reading this forum for past few weeks and found it very useful.
What's the difference between Propecia and Finasteride? I've been taking Propecia for 2 months now but it's very expensive for this broke student.
My Uncle has sent me 30 Finasteride USP 1 mg Tablets (Trade Mark: Finax; Manufacturer: Dr. Reddy's labs) and I was wondering if it's same thing as propecia. This drug is pretty cheap in India but I just want to ensure it's equivalent of Propecia.

Finasteride is the name of the active ingredient. Propecia is the name they market the drug under. Proscar and Propecia both contain Finasteride. It's just that Proscar has 5mg while Propecia has 1mg.

I've seen their work and it's pretty good. I've seen three individuals that they've done transplants for so far. I'd say they are probably more reliable than the average for hair transplant doctors.
The only advice I would give to you, and this isn't just in the case of Hasson and Wong, but for ANY hair transplant doctor that you visit, is that YOU should lean toward's the conservative side when it comes to how low you get the hair line transplanted. You have to make sure you've got enough donor hair to cover you for life, so a transplant that you do now that may look awesome doesn't look weird as your hair loss progresses.
