I would like to remark about dr. Lee's opinion about retinoic acid during day time.
I agree it may be better to apply it during night time. However, I really think that if you apply it durning the day time and wait one or two hours before going out it will be just fine. Also, it's possible to apply it after work , that is, during evening. The retinoic acid is absorbed after half an hour to two hours and after its absorption into the skin it is not sensitive to sun as much. After all, the recommendation for applying it at bedtime, just like applying plain minoxidil at bedtime, is to wait at least half an hour before actually getting into bed. So during these 30 minutes or so the flourecent light at home and any other lights at home could theoretically affect retinoic acid.
I don't think you have to be that strict about applying retinoic acid at bedtime. I for example, apply it during the morning or when I come back from work in the evening because at bedtime I apply Eucapil. I do try not to go out to the sun sooner than 30 minutes to one hour. I believe it is effective just as much as applying it at night.
Good luck!!

I dunno Eliaz, I found that when I used it during the day time if I went out into the sunlight my scalp would become ultra sensitive.... I already have an ultra-sensitive scalp to begin with, but it would actually get worse.
I guess it all depends on ones tolerance to a degree, but I wouldn't use Retin-A containing formulas in the daytime personally.

Sam

Sam, I wasn't referring to the scalp sensitivity nor Dr. Lee as for using it during daytime. Dr. Lee talked about the effectivness of retin-A under the sun. I still think that if you wait an hour or so you can go out to the sun and it will be effective enough. I do agree it might increase the scalp sensitivity under the sun, so if this is your case then use it at night. Retin A however, increases the sensitivity of the scalp either way, so even if you apply it before going to bed the skin stays easliy irritated.
