Cautiously restarting topicals
I've decided that now that it's been several months since I've used topical (give or take a day or two here or there) I'm going to start back up. I'll start with a fresh bottle of Xandrox 15 that I've got sitting on the shelf.
Today I used about 1/3 of an ml. Very small amount so as not to irritate the skin. I should know within a few days if the inflammation I was experiencing several months ago that caused me to decide to stop using topicals comes back. If it does then it means most likely my skin sensitive to something in the solution.
If all goes well I'll add Revivogen back into the mix to see how my skin handles it.
Still haven't tried Jacob's or Blueshard's recommendations yet (for Lipoxidil and Inflammil), but I intend to.

Oh man I know how that feels. It is so dam frustrating!! I have finally accepted the fact that I cannot use minoxidil or any other harsh topical but it took a long time. I used to start and stop, start and stop, hoping that my scalp would be ok. I am actually going to try using some natural internals with propecia and just see what happens. I know that it is totally unproven and will annoy some people that I am even going to try naturals but I have talked to some people who have really had results from a natural regimen. I took pics today of my hair and will take them probably at 6 months again to see if anything happened. I might throw the laser comb in my regimen in 6 months after I see if the naturals work.
I am going to be using beta sitosterol, saw palmetto, pygeum, nettles, and a hair vitamin along with Propecia. Sam if you want I can send you the pics and then give you an update in a few months if you want to post it on the site just so that people can see if anything happens with my hair. (and it is very possible that naturals won't work)

I wouldnt doubt too much on naturals. I mean hey sometimes hair loss is a cause of lack of certain nutrients, plus Ive heard of many others whom have used those naturals you listed blueshard, I might even consider obtaining those naturals myself, its worth a shot. And blueshard, I never knew you couldnt use minox cause it is in the list of your regime, I am concerned with my use of Minox as well. Why did you stop using Minox? And how should I come to a conclusion if Minox is for me or if I should stop the usage of it? I dont want to be one of those guys who loses more hair cause of minox. Basically just want to know why you stopped using it so I dont undergo the same thing cause to me, whatever side effects I get to me is what I would think is as being normal rather then harmful, so any tips would help on that matter. Gosh so many questions I ask and so much to know. Thanks!

Blueshard, you had inflammation with Lipoxidil too right (I seem to recall a post somewhere where you mentioned this). I think for me azaleic acid is the culprit.
I think that if one does the best one can to be healthy, by including foods in the diet that are rich in fatty acids and nutrients, reducing the bad stuff like sugars, saturated and trans-fats and cholesterol and by incorporating regular exercise into one's life, and yeah, even adding good natural supplements (that are safe) then you'll get an overall holistic benefit. I don't use the term "holistic" to mean pseudoscientific quakery. I mean it in the sense of doing all that one can that is proven to be healthy and beneficial for a healthy life. Then yeah, I think it can have an overall beneficial effect on our hair too. That's my opinion but there is meat to back it up. Just look at all the stuff on green tea and broccoli and fish-oils, fatty acids, etc. being published these days.
Anyway, good luck to you. And lets keep each other and everyone else here updated on our progress.
