Types of hair loss and shedding etc.
Hey everyone, just got a few questions and concerns. I've been using Xandrox15 solution and Crinagen for about over a month. I still am experiencing shedding. But each time I grab my hair with my fingers and pull to see how much shedding there is, I just pulled like 5 hairs each time I tried it. Dont know how bad this is, or if its caused by the xandrox15 solution, but I am wondering if this type of hair loss is different from MPB. Also is it a good idea to use Crinagen wait until it dries then apply Xandrox15 or should I just wash my hair before using Xandrox15. Also Sam, this question is for you, how do you know if you have any kind of innflamation. Like what kind of symptoms should I be looking for? And how do you know when your scalp is tender? I wouldnt know cause I never compared my scalp from being normal to tender. I am just concerned and think maybe these solutions Im using are not helping but Im given it time. In all reality, I really really think Im gonna save up for a laser comb cause that seems to be my only guaranteed hope. Well, keep in touch hope to hear from anyone soon.

Hi Kakarot,
When I was applying my topicals I would apply Revivogen first, give it some time to absorb (it was fast!) then I would apply the Xandrox. No need to wash out the hair as that's a real pain in the proverbial rear every time you want to apply a topical.

Regards,
Sam
When you pull your hair, do you actually have to apply force to "pluck" the hairs out, or do they come out easily? If the hair comes out easily without any pain it could be that these are hair that have already shed but not actually fallen from your head, or it could be a whole slew of other things. To investigate this even further, do you feel any pain in our scalp? Any soreness? Are there any pimples or pimple-like bumps? Is there any redness? Is it itchy or tingly? All of these questions are important because if you scalp feels bad, it may be that you have some sort of inflammatory condition. Please answer these questions and I'll compare it with my own experiences. Ultimately, you'll probably have to visit a dermatologist specializing in hair and hair-related conditions to get a diagnosis.... each time I grab my hair with my fingers and pull to see how much shedding there is, I just pulled like 5 hairs each time I tried it. Dont know how bad this is, or if its caused by the xandrox15 solution, but I am wondering if this type of hair loss is different from MPB.

Again, I'd like to know what your answers are to my earlier questions before I comment further on whether the treatments may or may not be helping. As for the lasercomb, I think it's a good option and am going to get one soon myself (just saving the dollars). I wouldn't say it's a guaranteed hope though... When it comes to hair loss, nothing is guaranteed (except more hair loss if we don't try to stop it).... unfortunately. Also Sam, this question is for you, how do you know if you have any kind of inflammation. You'll know if you have inflammation if the scalp is itchy or red, or has acne or something similar. Stinging or tingling sensations are also an indication. The questions I asked earlier will help to find out if you've got some of the symptoms. When you say you've never compared your scalp from being normal to tender that means one of two things to me: (1) It's not tender, and never has been because it it was you'd certainly know. It would feel sore when you touch your scalp, or it would sting, or (2) You've had inflammation for so long that you can't tell what it's like without it. My hunch is that you're a 1 not a 2. But lets see how you answer my earlier questions.

If you just introduced Xandrox15 just over a month ago, you might be experiencing increased shedding from that. When I first started minoxidil I had a very prolonged dread shed, it lasted almost 10 weeks and I lost at least 5 hairs every time I touched my hair. It was a terrible time for me.
I stuck with it and 7 months later, I'd say that I've recovered from my dread shed in the vertex and sides. My front is a little thinner (only I notice the difference), but that was going to happen if I started minoxidil or not. I actually wish I had started it a year ago.

Hey, well I have no redness or sore spots. It itches sometimes and my scalp is pale since im never out in the sun really. Just seems like my hairline is getting thinner each time i use xandrox15 but people say thats one of the regimes that can help the hairline. So Im just using little by little around that area to be cautious. I dont think I have inflammation since i do use a shampoo that have anti inflamatory ingredients in it. But Im just making sure to look out for it. Also do you know anything about Folligen, I've been using that here and there to experiment with it. I really think I might get a laser comb someday though. I have a prescription for Propecia but I dont know if I should start taking it since I am only 21 and young. I dont want it to cause future problems with my body. Well, thats all I have for now.

Ok so I forgot to mention this. When I was using regular Rogaine 5% I did indeed get sore spots on my scalp, like sore bumps and what not, I was pretty convinced I was allegergic to PPG. So I switch to Xandrox15 and have not really gotten any negative side effects as far as sores or redness. I am still losing hair but hopefully that will stop soon and new hair will regrow. Ive only used it for 2 months so I cant expect nothing really yet. But yea, all and all I keep telling myself to get a laser comb. Maybe just hopefully that will be the key to my hair regrowth. Otherwise, Im selling it on ebay.
