Hair Loss FAQ

How does Minoxidil make your hair look after applying it to your scalp?

The longer your hair is, the worse it will look after applying topical Minoxidil to your scalp. This is because Minoxidil solutions typically leave a bit of powdery residue when they dry on your scalp. Also, they can be a bit sticky, causing your hair to clump a bit.

For this reason, I personally apply it twice a day but I don't apply it in the morning before I go to work. I apply it immediately when I return home from work, and again before bed. That way it doesn't effect the way my hair looks during the day. The whole point of using Minoxidil in the first place is to keep your hair and perhaps regrow some lost hair to improve your appearance.
