Hair Loss FAQ

What is the Hairmax Lasercomb?

The Hairmax Lasercomb is a very unique product in the world of treatments for hair loss. In effect, it's a comb with lasers in it that when used for 15 minutes per day by combing through the hair and shining the lasers on the scalp is purported to help strengthen hair, prevent hair loss and even regrow some lost hair.

It has been approved for treating hair loss in Canada, and is pending approval from the FDA in the United States. This just means that until approved by the FDA the company that manufactures it can't claim that it regrows hair. It's available internationally. It costs a fair amount up front, but when you ammortize the cost over the minimum 10 year lifespan it actually works out to a reasonable cost.

Recently it was featured on TV in two Dateline NBC reports on hair loss and, at least for the individual who was showcased on the show, it had good results.

In conjunction with a good hair loss treatment regimen (such as one containing Minoxidil and Propecia for instance) the Lasercomb can significantly improve the likelihood of successfully maintaining one's existing hair and perhaps even regrowing some hair.
