DermMatch Hair Loss Concealer Review
I have been using Dermatch now for several years whenever I wanted to conceal my hair loss. I have found this to be an excellent concealer.
It comes in a small, round container and you can order it in the color that matches your own hair. It comes with an applicator with a sponge on the end of it.
Basically, you have to slightly wet the applicator sponge, rub it on the concealer to gather some of the concealer on the sponge, and then spread the concealer onto the scalp skin in the thinning areas by rubbing the sponge in those areas. Once the dermmatch dries, I typically comb the area with a brush. This seems to make the area look even more natural.
This concealer thickes the hair in the area where its applied. I apply it both in the crown and in the frontal hair line area. You have to taper the application in the hair line area to get a natural look and this takes some practice. But once you get it down it's pretty easy to do.
I highly recommend this product for those occasions where you want to have better coverage. You can buy this product from www.dermmatch.com.
Here are before and after pictures of my crown area. These were taken with my digital camera with the flash directly pointed at the top of my head. This is the worst lighting condition for someone with hair loss as it really contrasts the scalp color from the hair color. Under normal lighting circumstances the results look much better than in these pics:
