A New Name, A New Start
This website started in 2002 as a few pages dedicated to chronicling my own personal fight with hair loss. I took pictures of my progress in treating my hair loss over time and posted them on the site, and kept track of the products I was using. Gradually, the site grew into a something more, a sort of library and resource on treatments and techniques for dealing with hair loss.
I added a forum and contacted some doctors to start answering people's questions, and eventually the site grew to become a complete, comprehensive hair loss information site.
When I chose a domain name for the website, I decided to go with something unique so I settled on Morphollica.com. It was a neat sounding name, but over time I realized that the name didn't serve the site well, because it wasn't obvious from the name that the site was all about fighting hair loss.
While the site was growing and becoming more popular over time, I didn't want to change the name.
In 2006 I had a major life-changing event occur that took my attention away from the site. I wasn't updating it with new articles or interviews or product reviews, so the site languished a bit. But even so, from month to month, thoussand of people still kept visiting the site, and it was still getting a lot of traffic--just less than when I had the time to keep it up-to-date.
Now, I have the time to recommit to updating the site. In the spirit of renewal, I have decided to give the site a new name, one that reflects what it's all about: the fight against hair loss. Hence the new name:
HairLossFight.com>
If you're in this fight, visit here regularly. Expect a lot of new articles and updates. Expect some major transformations. Over the next several days, weeks, and months I plan on taking this site to the next level in providing the most up-to-date, useful information on hair loss on the internet.
Sincerely,
Sam
