hi,
Just writing to say ive been xandrox5 for about 6 months with success, lots of sprouts of vellus hair. Recently for the last 3 months ive added X15, however i believe im shedding again, could this be due to the higher percentage of minoxidil causing a shedding period again ?
Another question, i was wandering when one applies the minoxidil should one rub it into the scalp ? what i generally do is, once i apply the solution rub it in and then comb out the residure remaining on my hair until the point where the greasy look has gone and it looks like ive applied nothing to my hair. Will this combing out of my hairs cause the minoxidil absorption to be less successful and take away from its effectiveness ?
Any reply appreciated
Cheers,
Dod

The shedding could definetely be due to the higher minox concentration. I have found that sometimes sheds just happen, sometimes without reason. I have also learned not to focus your attention on sheds because that hair will almost definetely grow back and it will grow back thicker.
You really don't have to rub the minoxidil into the scalp, some people do and some don't and I don't think it has much effect on the effectiveness of the minox. For the combing, just make sure that you don't touch the scalp with the comb because that may interfere with the absorption. Otherwise I do not see a problem with combing of the hair.

Hey Dod,
It sounds to me like you're doing a lot of brushing. In my opinion, you should use so little of the topical that it absorbs relatively quickly and you don't get too much in your hair. I know that's a bit tough to do, but that's what I was doing and getting the fairly substantial regrowth from. Too much brushing is probably not a good idea.
Glad to hear you've had some success so far and hope the vellous hairs turn into terminal ones for ya! Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Sam
