What's the consensus these days on best Minox product?
Hi all,
I am curious as to what people think the best Minox treatment is these days. Primarily I am looking for products that don't use prop. glycol or glycerin as bases (or if they do, do so minimally). Basically, I want to know if there is a minox product that is part of a set of ingredients that counteract the inflammation that can go hand in hand with minox. (itching, burning, redness and so forth).
Let's get a discussion going on this topic as I would like to, if a suitably exciting product that you all recommend comes forward, add such a product to my regimen and review it here.
Thanks

Hi
I want to use a Minox product too but I am not sure I want the lifeline commitment to see and maintain results.
What is the advice?
Thanks
Natasha

So I have been back on Kirkland minoxidil, the foam based one. Have stuck with it for about 3 months straight now. I have found that if I apply it once a day, after my shower in the morning, I don't get any noticeable irritation or inflammation, and it also doesn't "grease" up my hair, the way the old topicals used to. It actually almost acts like a mousse once the hair is dry.
Anyway, I am happy to report that I am starting to see results! Definite improvement in my crown, which was really starting to head south, and even in my hairline. Going to stick with it for now.

Hi Sam, really?
what is this minoxidil treatment again?
I am on the Bailleul one but it makes my hair crunchy and disgusting.

Hey Natasha,
Sorry for the late reply here. I'm using the Kirkland brand minox 5% foam. Still using it since my last update. I am sticking with it because it is maintaining and halting the speed at which I was losing just prior to starting it. I also think I am still seeing some increasing density, but it's still not what I had even a year ago--is in, I have less overall density now than at a year ago. I see this is basically stemming the tide for as long as I can without having to take an internal medication.
I have been living a more healthtful lifestyle, including a sugar-free diet with vitamins, supplements and the like, and I think all of that is contributing to keeping things in place for now.
