Lipoxidil and other Liposome based treatments

Post by eliazush » Sat Mar 26, 2005 7:09 am

Hi everyone!
I am new here in the forum, although I have been reading and visiting this site for a while now.

My name is Eliaz, 28 male from Israel. I am at NH I - II stage. I started to get bald when I was 20. I tried several natural remedies which didn't do anything and then started propecia and minoxidil. I left propecia because didn't see results in regrowth terms, and maintaining the situation wasn't worth the cost in my opinion. I was looking for something that would actually restore my hair like it was before.

I have been using minoxidil for a few years...change the formulation every once in a while, from plain minoxidil to combo products such as xandrox, folligen.
My current regimen is:

1. Topical Sprio 2% from dr. Lee
2. Plain (generic) minoxidil 5%
3. Xandrox 15% (use it only at night)
4. Folligen Lotion (every other day in the morning)

I have entered today for the first time to lipoxidil.com and went over the interesting products they offer there. As a pharmacist, I know how efficient Liposome vehicles can be, and I was also surprised to find there exclusive products based on this technology, sush as Finasteride and Spiro lotions. I would like to know if anyone here in this forum has ever tried their products and wheather they work better than the non-liposme, more simple solutions and lotions available. Also, I read Dr. Lee's response to the Lipoxidil, saying he was into this technology, but doubts as for the success of the making of real liposomes by lipoxidil.com.

Thanks everyone for writing your opinions and exeprience here...I surely helps me and many others. I am waitng for your responses here,
Love you all,

Eliaz

Hi Eliazush..welcome to the forum.

I've used and use their products but not the ones you mentioned...I'm going the more "natural" route. The one product of theirs I still use is Genistil-R.

As for Dr Lee.....you'd think he'd have "tested" Lipoxidil's products by now and proven they're fake or something. IMO he obviously has his own products to sell.

You can ask Lipoxidil questions in the Experimental section(have patience with them for answers though)....as well as Elsom Reseach- they use liposomes(actually very small liposomes..nanosomes..etc) as well. I'm currently using 3 of their products.

I do think liposomal type products are more effective. Here's a thread on various examples: http://www.morphollica.com/forums/viewt ... =liposomes

So....How long have you been using the Genistil-R? Any results that will make it worthy to try??

Hello and welcome,

I think your regimen is pretty decent. For me personally Xandrox 15 gave me the best results in terms of regrowth from all the products I tried. I have not yet tried Lipoxidil but would like to do so in the future.

I had a fairly similar situation to you. My hair loss started at 19 and I have tried a bunch of things on and off over the years. I felt the same way about Propecia as you. Sometime in the last year (I've lost track a little) I started using Propecia (or Proscar 1.25mg) and have found that it is working well for me to maintain my current hair. I am far more concerned about maintenance now than I was about regrowth even a few months ago.

I think Propecia is a good option for you still, but you do have a great regimen already in my opinion.

Regards,
Sam

Your regimen looks really good to me also. They only thing that I would keep an eye on is how your scalp reacts to the topicals and how it feels in general. It is important to have a healthy scalp. If you are really serious about saving your hair I would definetely recommend getting on Propecia. It is just a pill so it is no hassle and will give you extra insurance in keeping your hair. I mostly just repeated what Sam said!

Since last fall. It's hard to say if it gave any results since I always use more than one product. If you look at the Rooibos "study" you can see just that can be beneficial...then there are the other ingredients in the product as well. See http://www.lipoxidil.com/site/phytoestrogenes.php

I was hoping they'd make another version of the Adenosine product w/out minox..maybe substitute Rooibos and the Sophora Flavescens. They ARE making a minox-less version of it...but I don't know if they've just taken minox out or if they've added something in it's place.

And then there are those who don't think Adenosine is the way to go...there's something "better" or whatever the reason may be. Someone is working with Elsom Research on such a product...
