Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Going to call it a day with this product. Will be 6 months in the beginning of June (think is probably long enough to evaluate the effectiveness of a product) and no improvement to report on the crown where I have been using it. No side effects to report and it is easy to apply and dries super quick but sadly hasn't done anything for me so onto something else now

Hello Synth,
do you know what happened with your colleague?
Does he still use Capillogain?
Maybe you can put an updates photo?
Thanks a lot.

Same for me - 6 months usage, and nothing to report... Will continue until that summer, and I will quite the test as far as I'm concern.
After 9 months if nothing happeneng, it will be clear it's not working... At least for me.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Hello guys.
First, excuse me for my english.
two days ago I received my capillogain tonic, but I'm a few concerned because the bottle is some different like others I saw at forum and the capillogain website.
Is this a legitim bottle?
Is this the right colour?
The company have changed the model of bottles?
These are some photos from bottles I have received
This is the post in the spanish forum about capillogain where there are more photos from the package http://www.ganarpelo.org/foro/viewtopic ... 12&t=33215
Thanks a lot for your answers

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
I am not aware of any interactions. However, I am sceptical about Voltaren/Diclofenac since it inhibits both COX1 and COX2. Aspirin already has been shown to be not effective for hair growth.SW2 wrote:SYnthese,
how long does Capillogain stay in the body?
I recently started using Voltaren as a new topical in conjunction with Capillogain applications which i do believe has benefits. I'm currently applying voltaren emulgel (small amounts) in the AM, Capillogain at 5pm and then voltaren agin before bed. the reason i ask about the life cycle of Capillogain in the body is i do sometime's notice interactions between the two topicals. Days without Capillogain, i don't seem to notice any side effects.. same goes with days/months without Voltaren. what are your thoughts on the synergistic effects of both of these topicals and is there any concerns with using both?

Did you apply it to a bald area, too? It is hard to notice difference in regions where there is still some hair.Joely wrote:Going to call it a day with this product. SyntheseLabRat, and why the colour is diferent?
Others users told me that the color was bright orange.
And this formula is too very sticky. It's right?

It says on the capillogain shampoo to leave it in for about 5 minutes. Will it make any difference if I leave it in for longer than 5 mins, maybe 10-15 minutes?

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
The color got more brownish compared to the first batches due to the addition of the Garden Burnet Extract.Pelusete wrote:SyntheseLabRat, and why the colour is diferent?

I am not aware of an increased stickiness.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
It is likely more effective if you leave it in longer. Fortunately the surfactants in Capillogain Shampoo are not aggressive and allow for a prolonged residence time.Friday wrote:It says on the capillogain shampoo to leave it in for about 5 minutes. What happened to the "Capillogain Light" version? I've been waiting for that.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Hi everyone. I am new to the forum...I've been lurking and reading for a few weeks now. If you're interested you can read the introduction post I dutifully created. The short story is I am a 45-yr-old woman and I most likely have androgenetic hair loss, and I most definitely have very thin hair on top of my head with lots and lots of miniaturization.
I am planning on starting Cappilogain shampoo and tonic as soon as my order arrives from Amazon. The one question/request I have for Fred the LabRat is what happened to the idea of adding a neutralizing antibody against DKK-1? A long ways back in this very long thread, there was talk of adding Magnesium L-Threonate, and my memory was that Fred said he was considering it. Did anything come of that?
I am looking at a bottle of Magnesium L-Threonate capsules on Amazon and wondering if I should buy some, dissolve it in acohol and add it to my conditioner or something. Sigh. I know that Fred and others recommend not using multiple stuff because then you don't know what worked, but I am concerned that without a DK11 stopper the results may be less than they could otherwise be. The truth is, I am super bummed about the way my hair is right now (you know it is hard on us girls when we start looking bald) and I really really want to get effective results.
Anyhow, I am getting Cappilogain because my dermatologist specifically recommended minoxidil as being good for women. (He said it never worked for men but it works very well for women). I don't want to use the Rogain-style formulation because I've heard bad things, but the Capillogain seems like a good alternative because of the better vehicle, smaller minox dosage, and especially with the other ingredients included in it.
Thanks for all the informative posts on this and other threads on this forum.
-Jess
P.S. I took photos of my current part and hairline to compare with after I've been using Cappilogain for a while. I will wait to post them until I have 3-month 'after' photos to post at the same time.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Can't you just use a lightweight neutral conditioner? Fred the LabRat said somewhere you could use other products if you wait 10 or 15 minutes for the Capillogain to absorb first. Is there something I'm missing? Because my hair is wavy/curly and brittle and I have to use a leave-in conditioner or it frizzes out all over and looks terrible. I was planning on using my usual ShiKai Everyday conditioner after the Capillogain shampoo in the morning, and using the tonic in the evening before bed. Is there some reason I shouldn't use a conditioner? I have to use something, but I can switch to a spray-on leave-in conditioner that mostly doesn't reach the scalp instead if that's better for the Cappilogain effectiveness.MG63 wrote:Would be great to have a conditioner and styling product. Any chance you guys will come out with a pgd2 product such as the indo/chromo combo or ramatroban? I'm desperately looking for sellers outside US since customs in my country will not let any medicin from outside of EU pass through.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Anyone with results lately?
I had results after a few months use, but now the effect seems to have halted completely. In fact my hair looks worse at the moment as I've been shedding quite a lot the past 5 weeks. I will use the last 3 bottles I have and take it from there, but I'm looking into trying pgd2 blockers instead and try to hold on to what I have before I aim for regrowth.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
I'm almost at 6 months and I've been underwhelmed with results. Was on Spectral DNC perviously (the minoxidil version). When they removed minoxidil, I stopped using. When i switched to Cappillogain then the following happened
- 1st month - lots of shedding
- 2/3 month shedding stopped, nothing
- 4th month some growth in front and crown,
- 5th month, no new growth detected, new hairs from month 4th maturing
- Currently in 6 month
All that said, not sure if i will continue past month 6. my crown is definitely thinner since starting.

yes it seems that this may generate some new vellus hair but, like the rest of the treatments out there, just needs something more in order to make those hair go terminal. The guy from the company that makes this stuff doesn't even update anymore, so maybe the overall results aren't as good as they had hoped. Like I said, I'll give it 3 more months, maybe it takes a few hair cycles to strengthen the follicles.

the idea of Dynagen and with GP4G makes a lot of sense as you suggested. possibly even adenosine. Will give it a bit longer and then determine if is abandon or continue. I will say that microneedling 3 days a week w/o any topical produced results as good as Capillogain. This approach helps with cell generation and reduces fibrosis, creating an optimum environment for new hair and improving endothelial support for existing hair

Hey guys my hair is in its worse state ever after two bottles of capillogain. Sinere's last formula worked much better for me....Nano-Minox FMS. I wonder if the formula is still the same....I will look to purchase it

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Hello Jess,JessRose wrote:Hi everyone.
I will wait to post them until I have 3-month 'after' photos to post at the same time.
sorry for the late reply.
L-Threonate is still a good idea but better don´t add it to Capillogain Tonic.
*lol* you cannot throw an antibody into a cosmetic product, it is forbidden, sorry
I wish you all the best and good luck. Let us know how it´s working for you.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Of course it takes several hair cycles. The miniaturization process of the hair follicle took many years in general. The miniaturization process includes a gradual decrease in the number of dermal papilla cells which is the major problem. Inducing the anagen phase and triggering vellus hair growth is one thing but growing terminal hair is more difficult. Increasing the number of dermal papilla cells takes time and may not work for everybody.Friday wrote:MG63 wrote:I'm almost at 6 months and I've been underwhelmed with results. I'm willing to try Cap Sensitive - but as far as I know amazon.com doesn't ship to Europe/Sweden, or do they?
Will it be available available in your online shop (functional-products.net)?

Is it just a mistake that Sanguisorba Officinalis Root Extract isn't on the ingredients list for Capillogain Sensitive on Amazon? It is in there, I hope...?

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Capillogain Tonic is currently out of stock at amazon but a new batch is already under way.
The sensitive version was intended as the completely the same as Capillogain Tonic but without the Triaminodil. I don´t know why Sanguisorba is missing in the list. I will ask and inform you.

SyntheseLabRat,
I think this question has been asked earlier in this tread, but I wanted to make sure: Many of these ingredients influence growth factors in some way. Is it safe to use this product since it upregulates growth factors, such as VEGF, IGF, and KGF?
Thanks.

Here is something interesting - i received a new bottle, which is clear and can see a lot of ingredients. Assuming the ingredients at the bottom of the bottle need to be mixed, what is the best way to mix without reducing the efficacy of the tonic?

The missing Sanguisorba Extract in the list of ingredients was just a misprint on the Amazon page. Sanguisorba Extract is included in both versions and it is written on the bottle. We corrected the list at amazon, thanks for the hint.

Sometimes amazon is out of stock but replacements are usually soon undr way, you may check from time to time. You can use Minoxidil products in addition to Capillogain although some people are fine with just Capillogain without Minoxidil.
The vehicle of Capillogain is very good, it does not need help from retinoic acid for increasing the penetration.
Too much retinoic acid is actually very bad for hair growth. I prefer to not use it at all. However, it may also have a beneficial effect besides increasing the penetration. So if you really want to use it, make sure you stick to the already established rather low concentration.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17449938
This is an in vitro organ culture, so penetration problems are not an issue, still retinoic acid improved the results.
However, in vivo retinoic acid also increases TGF-beta. This stuff has to be used with caution if used at all.
a new article:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23007396
Too much retinoic acid is also suggested as a cause for alopecia areata:

Synthese,
What do you think about me adding AHK-cu to a bottle of Capillogain. Would there be any adverse reaction? I am thinking of dermarolling with a 1.5mm roller and adding this solution 24 hours afterwards. Do you foresee any issues with this? Thank you.

Re: Capillogain® Tonic
Quick update. After 9 months of usage, I can definitly say that my hair has improve, but only on the crown area. Nothing to report regarding temples. I can see some mild regrowth, but overall, my front line is thining slowly... Maybe some azelaic acid incide would make the difference.
I'm runing out of product so my test ends here.
Hope it has helped some fellas there.
Hey Synthese, I saw your suspencil product on your website, but there's nothing about what is the product for. Can you tell me more about it ? Thanks

Looks like it's a silica type product...think of BioSil/JarrowSil - for hair.
I'm back on Cap after thinking I was getting some side-effects from it. Haven't noticed anything since re-starting it so it must have been something else. But still will go with the non-Triaminodil later on.
