Post by 0416Dr » Wed Mar 24, 2010 11:04 am

Recapeen is a range of hair treatment products for men and women suffering from hair loss caused by androgenic alopecia.. Recapeen is based on a unique pollen extract that maintains existing hair growth and stimulates the hair growth process. After using Recapeen for only a few months, the customer will notice that the hair is stronger, thicker and has more body. Five open studies have been performed in China, the USA, Sweden and Japan. Of a total of 261 study participants, 156 (60%) exhibited improved hair growth.

Some user talking about it:
http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/mess ... adid=39465

58% (of 245 people) got more hair after 3 months
and then there is a diagram, now I dont understand if this is about all the persons that where being tested or only the 58%, I think its only the 58.. and I dont know the exact % b/c its all graphics.. anyway, heres the study :

35% got "fine hairs"
58% got "better regrowth"
10% got "alot of new regrowth"
9% got "all their here back"

Ingredients:
Recapeen Man Gel is based the unique Pollen Extract A100, vitamins and minerals. The nutritious Gel is rich in vitamins and minerals which are important to the growth of hair.

That's an old thread (will leave it up for now...we're supposed to stay away from posting links to other sites..seems they, or most of them..have the same policy. Sam, feel free to edit it)..so it doesn't look like anyone continued with it etc.

That pollen ingred..I wonder if it's rye pollen/Cernilton, which is taken internally for prostate problems and also mentions being good for hair.

After lots of searching I found their website. Shall I remove the links above and replace them by the links of the original website?

Anyway about the pollen extracts...Im actually not sure, I find the website quite confusing:
http://www.natumin.com

[Edit]
Jacob: http://www.natumin.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=22

Will that help?
[Edit]

But somehow Im already loosing interest in this product although if you say the ingredients are good for hairloss or regrowth, then I will try for a couple months for this forum and post the results.

PS. The funny thing is I couldnt find any negative posts on this product...most forums end up with post like "I see fuzz hair everywhere on my hairline and between the existing hairs" and mostly after 1 or 2 months....that is why I was so curious, but those threads always end up dead. Also the place where I can order this seems reliable. I ordered more then 4 products for other issues and all resolved my issue...the only thing on my body left is to keep my hair :P and since the keto shampoo it has been slown down, but I would like to have some back :P

And that makes sense..it being Swedish. It is what I was referring to- rye pollen etc. Here's the company behind the pollen extract/supplement(I don't know if the posts are still there..but at Hairsite years ago I had posted about this stuff and even it's connection to hair..and that the oil extract was pretty good at being "anti-dht".etc. I'll see if I can find them sometime): http://www.graminex.com/

Edit..I see this particular product was also mentioned over there back then..as well as this product: http://www.projoba.net/html/pro/item/proFull.html Which I see is discontinued.

The Graminex page on hair: http://www.graminex.com/healing_power/ch5.php
Nettle juice, jojoba oil, mixed spinach and lettuce juice consumed for six months are all reputed to restore hair. Indeed, there is evidence that all of these have worked. To this list we must certainly add pollen. There have been many reports, especially from those who have lost hair later on in life, of a new strong growth of hair appearing after the taking of a long course of pollen tablets for some other reason.

It could well be that the reason for the beneficial effect of pollen on hair growth and on arresting the loss of hair is because the pollen grain is rich in the amino acid, cystine. The composition of hair includes 17 percent of cystine so that if there is a deficiency of this important amino acid in the diet the growth of the hair is certain to be affected. Baldness comes from many different causes and there is an important hereditary factor which is also involved. So pollen will not work for everyone, but it is good to know that an improvement in hair color and growth of new hair can be a welcome additional bonus to those who take pollen regularly.
On dht: http://www.graminex.com/clinical_studies/study7.php

Just posting this fwiw..was in a post of mine with the pollen: http://www.himalayahealthcare.com/produ ... asia.htm#e

I could be wrong, but isn't Racapeen what they were using at the Swedish LLLT clinic that had such impressive results?

Don't have the link anymore, but it was posted on a lot of forums. The site was in Swedish and the photos morphed between the before and after pics. I seem to remember reading that Racapeen was part of that clinic's regimen.

So should I try it out? If this would be good for using with LLLT then I will pass, because I dont have that.

That sounds like a nasty combo. I can't even drink nettle tea. :-&

Yes, I think that's the Swedish clinic's site, although it looks different ... updated maybe? Couldn't find the reference to Recapeen tho. Maybe I saw it on a different site ...

I found a reference to it here: http://www.hairrestorationclinic.se/index-1_7.html
There are many treatments for hair loss, hair transplant for example, recapeen and hårersättning.
The online translator couldn't handle that last one..I guess.

0416Dr..that's your call =; I personally wouldn't use only this if you are going to try it..but I say that about everything :-s

It was a different site I was thinking of ... fortunately I had it bookmarked:

http://www.swedishhairlasercenter.se/fore_efter.html

http://www.swedishhairlasercenter.se/ar ... ankar.html

Ran the copy on the 'studies' page through google translate. Not really clear if this is a part of their program or they just included the 'studies' from other HL treatments. Although it does sound like they recommend some/all of these, but it's an online translation so who knows :?:

De flesta studierna om laser genomförts utan kompletterande preparat. Preparat som Minoxidil, Finasterid, Serenoa, Ketokonazol eller Recapeen ger kombinerat med laserterapin de bästa förutsättningar som man kan få i dagsläget. För att få bra effekt så är det viktigt att följa anvisade doseringar och instruktioner noggrant. Alla kompletterande preparat är noga utvalda efter redovisade studier om deras effekt.

Google Translate says:

Most studies on laser implemented without additional preparation. Preparations minoxidil, finasteride, Serenoa, Ketoconazole or Recapeen provides laser therapy combined with the best conditions that can be obtained in the present situation. For good effect, it is important to follow the designated dosages and instructions carefully. All further preparations are carefully selected after carrying studies on their efficacy.

On one of the pages, it does mention that their laser is a Sunetics model ... Dr Maricle's machine. I've had no luck locating that device anywhere in the US. But I think I'm going to be pleasantly surprised with the device I've been using for the last (almost) 2 months. Will be posting an update on that in the LLLT section soon.
