Living Proof Full Thickening Cream- Free Sample

Post by Jacob » Thu Jan 21, 2010 3:26 pm

I had posted about their "No Frizz" product before..mainly because of the people behind the company/product. This one makes more sense for a forum like this 8)

The company has graciously offered 15 lucky forum members at Hairlossfight to receive a free sample packet- which is good enough for 2 uses..unless you have long hair.

Please reply to this thread if you're interested. You will then be PM'd the contact info(which will be to someone from the company) to get things started.

http://livingproof.com/product/full/
Flat, lifeless hair results from each strand being so smooth and fine that it lays quite literally flat, one on top of the other. Full Thickening Cream is a lightweight formula that features Poly Beta Amino Ester-1, a new technology invented by our scientists that creates a micro-pattern of thickening points on each strand. Full creates beautiful, natural fullness and touchable body that lasts throughout the day. Because it's a completely flexible technology, your hair won't collapse or become stiff and crunchy. Great for colored hair, too.

So ... this is a styling product? No actives, no claims?

I'd love to try it. Even if it's a one-shot deal. If it's good ... I'll buy it

hi Jacob,

This product would be great for my mother and she is actually also coloring her hairs. Her hair is thin, so I think this would help her a lot. I would appreciate if I could participate. Thanks in advance.
I went to buy a camouflage jacket the other day but I couldn't find any.

I don't know what this thing would do for people with damaged hair in the long term, I have tried pantene 3 minute miracle cure which really did help with the quality of my hair strands but when you are suffering from some form of hairloss it really doesn't give you what you want which is more hair.

Its depressing really because when I had a nice full head of hair these sorts of products weren't available and would have done wonders for me but now that I am thinning they aren't my first priority in terms of my hair.

Excellent job though Jacob for bringing it to the forum for some lucky full headed person to try :)

Fizzball..those with thinning hair..not necessarily bald areas..could benefit if this stuff works. Every once in awhile in these types of forums someone will post about a product that makes their hair look thicker or whatever.

But hopefully these guys will work on a hair loss product in the near future 8)

TobyT..sorry..forgot to mention this isn't available to newbies. Just kidding..but please stick around :!: Everyone needs to at least leave some feedback after they've tried the product. A ton of demodex mites(anyone who can guess the # of mites in a ton will win another free sample) will be dumped down your chimney next Christmas if you don't.

My hair is long and is thinning but my concern is that this cream is only a temporary solution to a prolonged issue, that may only provide a cosmetic enhancement whilst its on... I guess I could compare it to make-up in the sense that sure women may look okay with make-up on... smoother skin, less blemishes, thicker lashes (mascara) but eventually when they take it off... well...

As you all know thinning hair can be the result of miniaturization therefore the hair will eventual continue to thin out despite this product as its really not addressing the issue at its core, regardless of if thinning is occurring because of miniaturization or not my guess is that this product won't address the issue at its core and the hair will continue to thin underneath this product... I could be wrong though about this product completely and it could be a treatment that will address the issue and cure thinning but I have read nothing on their website or on the internet to suggest such a thing.

If I wore a wig would that mean I am not bold? or does it mean that I am placing something on my head to make it appear as if I am not bold?

I'm trying to understand the benefits of this product but I just don't see it in regards to this forum, I see it more so as an advancement on mousse which was the traditional choice to temporarily add volume to your hair.

It basically is just a thickening product- that may or may not work better than others. My guess is it's going to vary by individual. It is not a hair thinning or regrowing treatment- it does not address our "core issue". That's why I said I hope they work on a hair loss product next.

When a product like this "works"..it can give the appearance of more and/or thicker hair. Even if it's just the user that can notice it..it can help- if you know what I mean!

In the 90s I remember seeing some tv commercials (tv shop) where they would use an air hair spray and "cure baldness".
Is this product the same type, where it just attatches synthetic micro-particules to your hair? But in reality they do nothing to promote your hair health and disappear at every wash? (a type of silicone boobies, but for hair, or am I wrong?)

Yes..this is basically an advanced thickener. May or may not work better than other products out there for you. It is not a "hair loss" product.

So - how well did this product thicken your hair (trialists)?

pros?
cons?
ease of use?
could you tell it was on during the day (easy to comb/brush your hair etc)?

Used it. I don't see a big deal. It may help with the crown? I'll have to look. But that's about it. For what the price is. Its certainly not worth it.

The product is greasy. Which ironically conflicts with the idea of having thicker hair.

Worked best for me if I used a very small amount..which would make a bottle last forever. I've just got other things to use/try at the moment.
