Looking to start a natural regime. recommendations please.

Hey guys,

I've been looking to start a natural routine that will help assist me in stop loss.

There is just too much information out there on suppliments, and it even gets more confusing when it comes to buying a specific branding (making sure you not only get the right suppliment, but a good quality).

I was hoping that you guys could point me out in the right direction with a regime (product and brand). We could call it the HairLossFight Top 6.

I know the IH top 6 is quite popular, but very mixed results from that combo. I was also thinking of getting Vit E based on the thread in this forum.

That's all,

Thanks,
OMGMH

1) Combine Elsom topicals and a botanical topical
2) Rotate Piroctone olamine shampoo and Tea tree shampoo

Topicals = Elsom makes the best topicals money can buy IMO.
Shampoos = There are a ton of great ones, but no matter how "natural" you want to make it, you should use Nizoral 2% 2-3 times a week.
Internals = I take Tocotrieniols, Circumin, Resveratrol, and Now Multivitamin with Saw Palmetto and a bunch of other "Men" stuff
Diet = Healthy Vegan Diet

I also use lasers, and I think they have helped a bit.

Elsom looks fantastic, but $460 is a lot of coin for a 6 month package.

Do you recommend the Scalp Renewal Regimen Kit for Men? or just specific topicals?

-------------

I was actually looking more internals. I take a mutli and mag pills right now, but I'd like to get on a more intense vitamin regime.

-----------

Cubreeze: I currently use Indian Healing Clay and then laser afterwards. I love the feeling of indian healing clay, I just cover my entire head in that stuff.

OMGmyhair, is your hairloss diffuse as well? What i mean is, do you notice your side and back hairs being more thin than usual?

Also, is there anything else you're dealing with? weird nails, thin body hair, memory problems, dry eyes, seb derm, cavities, excess body fat, weird rash, unhealing scar(s), excess ear wax, etc., etc., etc. Anything at all?

jksl.

My loss is diffuse, but becasue my hair is so thick, you can barely notice it. One can only notice recession on my temples and the bald spot in the back of my head.

As for other stuff I'm dealing with: I have pretty bad back acne, my joints feel somewhat stiff and poppy, I'm tired often, slightly depressed from time to time (although I think everyone sort of is), and I deal with panic attacks from time to time. That's all I can think of. Not sure how this will help.

oh, I also live in the GTA, what part of town you from?

Perga,

How long have you been on the internal regime and how do you think it had helped you?

@omgmyhair, Dr Y (the guy behind the Elsom products) does not recommend the scalp renewal thing for new customers. He suggests you use Terminal 1 & 2 according to the instructions on their website. He would probably also say work their shampoo into your regiment.

@1..., I was taking a whole lot of vitamins for I would say around 8 straight months prior to A&G, but I eventually got lazy cause my hair was looking good. After the 3 month hiatus post-A&G, i restarted 4 of the vitamins I used to take. So, I've only been back on the internal regimen for 2 months. I should point out though, that I also take .72mg/day finasteride internally. The goal is to get my hair back in shape and try to ease off the fin, or at least lower the dosage to as little as my hair can handle.

As of now, I can say the combo of Elsom + Internals + Nizoral 2% 2-3 times a week on top of what I already did seems to be helping. It's too early for anything significant, but things SEEM to be pointing towards better days ahead. We shall see though.

jksl,

what has dry eyes to do with hair problems? I have dry eyes once in a while (although it occured 2 times in the past 3 years in a period of a couple of weeks). I went to the doctor, but only thing she said to me that it is the airconditioning causing my dry eyes. I work in a environment with airco and looking 8 - 9 hours to a computer monitor which can cause staring and in combition with airco will cause dry eyes, sounds quite logical to me.
I went to buy a camouflage jacket the other day but I couldn't find any.

I actually have a question like the one above me except in regards to unhealing scars. What does that have to do with hair loss? It struck me as odd because my body seems to be having a hard time now, not necessarily healing a wound, but in fading a scar on its own. I work with sheet metal (with tends to slice like a hot blade) and when I get a cut now, the scars are much more visible and white when fully healed, but they still really red for a looooooooong time before getting to that point. When I first started working in the field, and as a kid, I barley had any showable scars from cuts I would get.

Long story short: Is there some sort of connection?

So I still don't have a Natural Suppliment List Yet

But this is what I've come up with so far.

1) Tocotrienol
2) Bio-Tin
3) Resveratrol
4) B-Complex
5) Magnesium Pills
6) Vitamin-D
7) Multi Vitamin With Saw Palmetto

I will also add Elson Terminal 1 + 2

Thoughts?

Curcumin..to go along with the Resv? Swanson's has that phytosomal one out.

Possibly JarroSil or BioSil.

Thanks jacob, now what I need to figure out is what's the best company to buy these suppliments from?

I know it's a huge debate as to which company creates the best suppliments. Opinions

My favorite places.... www.swansonvitamins.com ...... www.iherb.com ...... www.luckyvitamins.com ..... www.bestpricenutrition.com .... www.vitacost.com

Depending upon what you're getting... it may be best to search for the item(s) you're looking for to find the best price. Google shopping if you're lazy :)

I'll second swansons. They usually have great deals and you can always find a coupon code for 10% off or more.

Like Jacob mentioned the Meriva Turmeric over at swanson's is pretty good. I have been using it for two months and am pretty pleased with it. You can get almost everything on that list there.

Also, supposedly, their Activated Vitamin B Complex is one of the best out there. Just ordered a bottle and it should be coming in a few days. Unfortunately that has been one angle I have been missing in my dietary supplements.
