Korean Hair Products
Does anyone know of or come across any korean hair products other than Caregen?
During my trip to korea, i was surprised to find that they have very very good hair. Ive covered the major cities in Korea, this include jeju, Daegu, Busan and of course Seoul. I could hardly see anyone balding, perhaps a few in their 40s and above, none of the teens/ young adults had any balding.During my stay for a week plus, i only saw max. 5 people who had hair problems, and thats in the big crowded cities. Note that none are youngsters. And god they have beautiful skin, guys and females, i only saw one girl with mild acne throughout my entire stay!
And about whether alcohol cause hairloss/regrowth which has been debated in forums, the koreans will prove that it doesnt cause hairloss. Drinking is a social activity, and teens or young adult has to learn to drink to socialise. i dont mean it like pub or club visits but literally a Must-do daily activity. I know much of their culture from a friend i knew there who could speak a little of english and chinese. As many would know of their famous soju, which taste somewhat like absolute vodka but with a fresher tint to it and at 15% or 16%. According to my friend, youngsters (male and female) must at least be able to drink 2 to 3 bottles or they will find it hard to make friends or socialise.
Im really awed by the fact that they really do have such fantastic hair. They have way much better hair than japanese, which i had visited before as well. This also led me to believe that diet could be an important aspect as my friend explain to me the health benefits of fermentation, their kimchi.
I digress quite a bit and its ironic that im asking about their hair products when they seem to suffer little from it. I was on a look out for their hairloss products during my stay but could not find any. So if anyone come across or know of any korean hair products kindly chime in, as i would be interested to try out.

Re: Korean Hair Products
Makes me sick when people have to drink alcohol to socialise, what a load of crap... people don't need alcohol to socalise at all. Anyway back on topic:
I don't believe diet has much to do with genetic hair loss. If hair loss runs in the family, there is a very high chance you will develop it too. Does everyone who have good hair eat a good diet? no, some people eat an awful diet and still have good hair. I don't know why asians tend to bald less than us but whatever it is has to be genetic, I don't think it's to do with diet. Look at American Indians, I don't think they bald at all, and if they do, it's extremely rare.

Try other search words as well. You'd have to search for a particular product on where to purchase..unless you want to buy in bulk via that link/website

Re: Korean Hair Products
Ginseng is king in Korea. Many beauty products contain it. Korean people eat and drink it. They totally believe in its curative powers. Aside from their good hair genes, their diet isn't much different from their Asian neighbors for the most part. Koreans do eat a lot of pickled and fermented foods. Their diet consists of traditional food mainly. Although many western restaurants pollute their landscape, many Koreans still eat homemade foods at home with their families. Korean estheticians are some of the best in the business. Korean people's skin is usually flawless and their hair is dark, thick and shiny because of a good combination of diet, bathing ritual, and lifestyle. This is broad generalization so take it as just that. They usually have all kinds of gizmos and gadgets at their disposal. The lifestyle is a bit different from westerners in that their bathing rituals include lots of steam saunas and sitting in hot water ofurus. All this is done to eliminate toxins in the body.

1...
Thanks for the props bud.
The asian market in general is far less regulated so good products can get good advertising without something like the Federal Death Association (FDA) looming over their backs.
