Hello dnani and welcome.

Propecia is the drug Finasteride. There is no herbal form of this drug. However, if you're looking for something that acts as a topical DHT inhibitor, Revivogen is definitely a good choice. Here is an interview I did with Dr. Khadavi, the inventor of Revivogen:

Any one try flax lignans?

Recently, I've read articles on the internet and a magazine that stated that "Flax Lignans" may help in the fight against Androgenetic alopecia(male pattern baldness). Has anyone tried this supplement?

I have been eating Flax Lignans for almost 3 months. I think it does help. I take the oil as well as the "ground" flax seeds. They must be ground or you will not be able to digest them. I take 2 tablespoons of the oil per day and mix the ground flax seeds with juice. I think the key is to consume at least 50 SDG per day. They are having more studies done with different amounts of SDG to see if there is any difference with the results so far they have compiled with consuming 50 SDG.

Hello! SJM or anyone else who takes flax lignans: Did you shed when you first started taking them? I purchased ground flax seeds and had 2 tablespoons a day for 2.5 weeks. During the second week I was loosing hair like crazy. Was I having a reaction? I was especially losing hair in the front of my scalp. I read that people who took flax had less oily hair. That definitely wasn't my case. Anyone shed from flax lignans? If so, did it stop? Thanks!-Tim Timallen45@hotmail.com
