Jacob you think this stuff is better than the Lamas serum, where are you going to order it from. I saw from a older post you were going to start using the Sigmaskin shampoo just wondering if you are using it and if so how you like it....I just ordered it a couple days ago.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
I'm not sure it's better than Lamas..it's just that it contains the apple stem cells which I for sure want to continue using. By the time I get done using the Lamas I do have..it'll be probably close to 8 months of use or more. I like to stick with things but I also like to rotate. I'm sure I'll be using the Lamas one again by the end of the year or so.
Or it's possible I'll just stick with the Lamas..but maybe use it every other day instead. Use another product on the off days.
And no..I never did try the Sigmaskin shampoo. Let us know how you like it though.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases ... 40439.htmlNEW YORK, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- PHYTO, the expert in botanical hair care, introduces Phytolium® shampoo and Phytolium®4 treatment, launching September 2010. The energizing shampoo and 4-patent treatment is an all-natural and side effect free alternative to chemical hair loss ingredients such as Minoxidil and Finasteride.

Scientists at the Phytosolba Laboratories in Bezons, France, referred to their expertise in plant molecule research, extraction methods and biotechnology to find the most effective botanical ingredients to combat male pattern baldness and alopecia.
The result? Unlike chemical-based products, where measurable changes disappear within months after discontinuation of the treatment, Phytolium®4's results are safe and long-lasting. The amount of hair loss decreases, healthy hair grows and the diameter of each hair strand increases in density.
Clinical Results:*
* 79% noticed a 5% reduction in telogen hair, which increased to 21% at 12 weeks, and to 24% at 16 weeks.
* 79% noticed a 27% increase in the growth coefficient at 12 weeks, and 39% at 16 weeks.
* Based on a clinical study conducted by an external laboratory using the videotrichogram method.
Consumer findings:
* 88% effective on thinning hair.
* 69% of volunteers' hair feels stronger.
* 63% of volunteers' hair appears denser.
Phytolium®4 is armed with 4 patented ingredients to:
* Prolong the hair's life cycle -- CapicellPro is a double PATENTED botanical complex that stimulates and protects both the follicle cells and reserve cells, known as stem cells. Using biotechnology, the complex consists of a patented shiitake molecule that stimulates the sirtuins, or "longevity proteins", combined with a biocompatible extract of wild apple fruit stem cells that preserves reserve cells for future hair growth.
* Delay Hair thinning -- Serenoa extract inhibits 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme that causes hair thinning. Essential oils of sage, cajuput, rosemary, lemon and cypress have clarifying and stimulating properties to help hair regenerate.
* Accelerate Growth -- Solanum glycoproteins, a PATENTED ingredient, help stimulate keratinocytes, the cells that produce hair, and act on the hair bulb to tone and encourage growth.
* Increase density -- Grapeseed procyanidols and cananga essential oil, a PATENTED botanical complex, helps protect the tissue surrounding the hair bulb and improves intercellular exchanges for denser, stronger growth.
Ease of Use:
12 pre-dosed vials equal one month's treatment; recommended intense treatment is 3 months. Travel friendly.
Directions:
Apply the product to clean hair and scalp section by section using the comfort nozzle. Use 3 times a week. Leave-in. Non-greasy
Phyto recommends:
To maximize the effectiveness of PhytoLium®4 thinning hair treatment, use Phytolium® Shampoo prior to treatment.
NEW! Phytolium® Shampoo prepares the scalp for Phytolium® 4 treatment. Phytolium® Shampoo is highly concentrated in Rooibos and Cinchona bark extracts that energize the scalp and fortifies the hair bulb while restoring strength and density to hair. Niacin, zinc trace element, ginseng and sage extracts restore energy and strength. ($24)

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Then this must be a first time because in Mauritius they just put it on the market last week!!
I've been waiting for the Phytolium4 since last year! Usually we are the last one to receive new products. I don't know which to favour the Bioclin or Phytolium4?
Jacob any recommendation?
While I had great results in terms of Hairloss reduction with Bioclin, the product alone doesn't work to its maximum efficacy without additional dietary supplement, I have used two boxes of Bioclin and there were regrowth. I just don't know what to choose.
The composition of the Phytolium4 seems very up to date and they have real clinical results
http://www.thinning-hair-solution.com/p ... cacite.php
They make claims/ compare the product as an alternative to chemical solution such as Minoxidil and Finasteride which would suggest a comporable efficacy.
"NEW YORK—PHYTO, a botanical hair care company, introduced Phytolium® shampoo and Phytolium®4 treatment, launching September 2010. The energizing shampoo and four-patent treatment is an all-natural alternative to chemical hair loss ingredients such as minoxidil and finasteride."
Also, if you look at the clinical results, what's more inportant for hairloss sufferers is that the result is CUMULATIVE.

I would like your opinion on this.
Thanks,
N

Well..if you have the money....use both I guess that's what I'd do..seeing that this Phyto product is to just be used 3 times a week..for 3 months. So many..especially French...companies suggest that. 3 months...twice a year...I've even read- preferably in the Spring and Fall.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
This product is more than Rs2500 in Mauritius but I will try it because it must be effective. The trichovital and Phytotrixil was very successful and even won beauty awards in Allure!
But the Phytocyane ampoule for woman is crap!!I bought it and it does nothing absolutely nothing for my hairloss. I noticed that my hair is much less dense with an ugly bald patch right at the front and then overall thinning.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
How many times do I have to say this Don't expect results just because a product is expensive. On the awards etc...plenty of products have won these awards but aren't WOW products. Osmotics FNS is an example- they also won an award from Allure. Now I'm actually a fan of FNS, but not as a WOW product to get new regrowth
My guess is the product will be found cheaper here in the USA..eventually. It hasn't hit a lot of of the sites that carry Phyto products yet. I'd also like to find a place that carries the shampoo as well.

I agree with Jacob. I've been using the a topical oil treatment (see below) and added the rosemary to my shampoo with good results. Personally a simple plant stem cell solution that can be applied along with Dermaheal would be perfect.

rose hip oil
jojoba oil
Rosemary verbenone

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Well like I said, I trust Phyto. I have got results with long term use of their phytopolleine scalp stimulant and their shampoos and conditioners.
I tried two boxes of Phytotrixil and it was effective in curbing the hairloss.
I like to read lots of reviews before trying a hairloss product and on phyto you can plenty of reviews on makeupalleys, and beaute test there are three reviews on the Phytolium4..
I just made some expensive hair purchase of Leonor Greyl which I now regret because they are ineffective! But it may be too soon.
Jacob your advice didn't home in yet for me!! I bought them because LG is suppose to be a luxury brand that stylists and stars rave about.
But it does contain an interesting ingredient that I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on for treating scalp inflammation.
Its mimosa tenuiflora. Its in the Hairloss range of Leonor Greyl as well as their much touted about Huile Regenerescence Naturelle. Chilli Rose as well for regenerative properties. But this oil stinks! So much so that it gives me headache. I HATE MY HAIR FOR MAKING ME GO THROUGH ALL THAT. I HATE IT

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Natasha..I'm not slamming the product. I'm the originator of this thread, after all I also used and loved some Phyto products..such as Phytoaxil. I'm just saying- like with the Stem C'rum and other expensive products, one cannot go by the cost to gauge a product's effectiveness. Same with awards etc. FNS also gets good reviews in some places. Truth in Aging recently starting singing it's praises.
I will probably use this product eventually as well. In the cooler months I do go back to applying topicals in the morning more. Won't be sweating the stuff off like I do in the warmer months.
Has anyone seen the shampoo anywhere yet?

Well, after reading all about this and how it might be worth a shot, I've just placed an order for 3 months supply of the Phytolium 4 and a few tubes of their shampoo, both of which are available here: http://www.cocooncenter.co.uk/Phyto-Phy ... 10013.html
The Concentrate is 45.60 Euros and the Shampoo is 9.70 Euros.
After buying the products it's now listed as 'out of stock'! Oops! Looks like I exhausted their supply.
Was a good price when converted into Aus. dollars, lucky me.
Will keep you guys and girls updated on how it goes. Best wishes and luck to us...
Justin.
PS. Shipping fee was HORRENDOUS!

Well guys keep us informed of the progress with PHYTOLIUM 4 as we all eagerly await for the HOLY GRAIL in hair loss treatment and PHYTO may well be that.
For the time being, I pretend that I have a whole head of hair and treat it very well. In fact, I treat it so well that I find it ungrateful the way it usually treats me back !

Hey Natasha.
I've yet to receive it in the mail so that's a 'no'. Considering the shipping fee I paid they should have sent it by a fighter jet going at Mach 2.
I'll let you know how it goes, as well as how good it smells, applies etc. Plus I bought the shampoo so I'll report back on that too.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Good to see we have website access again.
Received my Phytolium 4 package along with the shampoo. Was slightly annoyed by the way the individual vials (12 per box) were 'packaged' in that they just sit in cut-out holes for each vial and there is no protection such as a foam block for protection/integrity during long distance travel, intercontinental wise. They were all strewn about haphazardly when I checked the contents of each box.
PLUS, one of the vials looked like it had been opened (by customs? No leaflet or card was inside the delivery to state such action was taken) and the whole contents emptied into the cardboard box and had dried out, leaving a very organic smell upon opening and one less treatment.
Overall though, the shampoo feels and smells great (not too strong at all). Your head feels alive after shampooing like a number of the great ones out there: Lamas, Revita etc.
Application of the solution is simple and precise. Very user-friendly, IMO, with a detachable squeezable pointed application tip that is used for each vial.
Each vial seems to give a very generous dose to all the areas you wish to treat, leaving you feeling satisfied that it can do its thing without any hint of insufficient application 'dosage', especially when you're a diffuse thinner like me.
My scalp definitely felt stimulated as suggested after application and a light massage. Plus, you can smell some of the contents like Cypress and Rosemary. You smell simply incredible afterwards.
Here's hoping, guys and girls, for success. Renokin as mentioned else where in this forum sounds just as intriguing. Hope they make accessibility to that product, purchasing-wise, a priority in the near future. It could be a great solution if it all works as claimed. Phytolium and this one could be a great synergistic approach.
We'll see. Best of luck to us...
Justin.

Justin.

Thanks for the update. So you're using a whole vial per application?

Yeah, Jacob. I figured with my diffuse thinning and I seem to have such a big head that I might as well saturate the thinning areas and even go down below the thinning in the crown area to use the solution as a preventative in that area, given that I've observed my Dad's thinning pattern down there recently even though he's 65 yo. If it works, it'll be a great preemptive method of control.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but would PhytoCellTec Culture be stable if you tried to make your own topical with DMI? I was thinking about getting a few grams. Also what would be an ideal concentration, like 2%?

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Hi Natasha.
It still might be a little too early to tell but I think my scalp feels more 'awakened', so to speak, which is a good thing. I haven't noticed any regrowth in the areas where I want it the most such as crown/vertex and hairline. However, at the very front of my frontal tuft there are a couple of hairs which were previously weak terminals that seem to have grown longer and thicker. There is a little bunch of three or so which have darkened and look a bit odd being there. Are they the result of the Phytolium? I don't know.
But I'm getting close to the end of month 2's treatment. I'll see how I go after month 3 and promise to update.

Haven't regrown what I lost in shedding. Like so many treatments out there which seem promising I tend to lose more and not regain.
I don't recommend the treatment, but the shampoo seems 'nice' but a number of them do so there's nothing special there.
Perhaps I'll try the Elsoms topicals in the new year or Renokin if it appears to work for some after we get further feedback in the next few months.
*sigh*

Dear Justin, I feel really discouraged that my highest hope-Phytolium- is not working.
Maybe you should accompany the treatment with Phytophanere perhaps? its a dietary supplement by Phyto, I tried it once and its quite effective.
Let's hope the new year bring new hope and solution for all of us hair loss sufferers.
Cheers,
Natasha

Did you shed prior to or while using the product? How long did you use it for and how often did you apply it?dreamlandman wrote:Haven't regrown what I lost in shedding. Like so many treatments out there which seem promising I tend to lose more and not regain.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Hi Natasha.
There may still be hope for you as my hair loss has been quite atypical at stages since I've suffered from a rare form of occipital neuralgia which gave me patchy alopecia over the years plus my genetics is predisposed towards being a diffuse thinner like my dad in a Norwood 3v style (eventually).
I thought I had stabilised this style of shedding (Occ. Neuralgia based) but with some stress over the past few months plus Finasteride somewhat losing its effectiveness I seem too be battling a condition that is quite strong and insistent, so the Phytolium may actually work well for you instead. Thanks for the recommendation of the supplement product as well.
Jacob,
I commenced using it in September so it's been about 3.5 months since I started the regimen and I used it 3 times per week as they suggested, just once at night. I know, I'm probably being very impatient and wanting regrowth ASAP so please forgive me for my impatience.
It may still work in the sense of regrowth occurring in time, I just had it very bad to begin with in the first place so the further shedding has left me feeling quite traumatised. I've also noticed more hairs in my receding hairline becoming 'limp' and shortening, indicating they're on their way to a less favourable length/thickness in their next cycle.
Maybe the Hairstem regenerating foam you've discussed in the other thread might offer some hope as at this time I just feel like throwing my arms in the air and giving up....but of course I know I never will. Hopefully the regenerating foam is also available to all countries including Australia.
Justin.
PS. Heck, after reading all the buzz about Miconazole Nitrate I may even give that a try shortly for some time. It sounds quite intriguing.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Hello everyone,
I wanted to update for this year my hair condition. Like so many others have noticed and experienced for themselves, what has been lost in terms of hair shedding, no current hair loss products on the market are able to regrow.
I still have a big bald patch in the frontal area and patchy hair loss everywhere. I continue my vitamin combination and omega 3 6 9 without which I would be completely bald by now.
I have always favoured Phyto products over Rene Furterer but perhaps this was a huge mistake as Rene Furterer seems to give immediate result. For regrowing hair that I have lost, it's like I have to make a deal with the devil, I am very very tempted to turn to Rogaine/ Minoxidil for awakening my dying hair follicles.
It seems that my life revolves around my hair. I am sometimes very tempted to shave my head because I am fed up. I don't know whicch product to use, in what dose, and for how long.
After much publicity from Phyto, I would have thought the Phytolium 4 would be the answer to my prayer, the end to my nightmare but apparrently this doesn't work too. So, I am asking what WORKS??

Hello everyone,
I just wanted everyone to know that I am starting with Phytolium4 and will update accordingly.
My boyfriend has starting shedding hair as well in a male patten baldness and I am making him take a combination of vitamins to halt the shedding.
These days, everybody is shedding it seems...

Natasha,
I don't mean to be rude, but if your boyfriend has male pattern baldness vitamins aren't going to do a damn thing. If he's up to it he should try proven products first, such as Minoxidil or Finasteride. If those don't work he should try some of the experimental products talked about on this message board.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Hello Alex,
Apparantly, the vitamins are curbing his hair loss even if he does still shed. I am going to make him start on the Phytolium 4 as well.
I can provide a correct review on the Phytolium 4 and its "touted" efficacy as my boyfriend has just started shedding a year ago so I can see if the product is effective in stopping the hair shedding, re program the hair into a normal life cycle and lastly, regrow dormant hair follicle that hopefully are not dead yet.
So, I WILL UPDATE.
Anyone else is seeing progress with Phytolium 4?
Cheers,
N

Justin, after three month of use of the Phytolium4 your remaining hair has not gotten stronger?
I have used the Phytolium4 for a week and my hair is shedding more than without the treatment. I really don't understand.

Natasha..did you abruptly stop another treatment or anything? I always like introducing new products slowly as well as slowly get off them..as not to "shock" my scalp/hair. Maybe it doesn't matter how you do it..but that's my reasoning and I'm sticking with it
But I'd be more concerned if you keep having that problem a month or so down the road. Some actually say an initial shed is "good"..but I guess only time will tell in your situation.

Re: Phyto- Phytolium®4..another apple stem cell containing product
Hello Jacob, no I wasn't on any other treatment before this. Yes maybe it needs time to do its work.
What worries me now that didn't when I was in my late teens is that, each hair that goes down the drain, that falls out, it's minus one of the 25 cycle I was born with. The more I shed hair, the lesser the duration of a hair cycle, which means, my reserve of new hair cell is diminishing.
This hair loss thing is an infernal cycle. That's the reason why I'm using the Phytolium4 to help prolong the hair cycle of my remaining hair.
I am getting married in less than two weeks and I so wish that my hair was glorious, thick, long, shiny and healthy but it won't and I feel so miserable!

I feel the same every time I lose a hair I know its not coming back and that tiny spot it came out of will someday be completely bald... its a grim thought but it's as honest as I feel.
To me it just seems like a losing battle, plain and simple but that's just me.
Don't be miserable as I so clearly am right now, you are getting married which is a bond that runs deeper than the physical, if you were single than it would complicate things as I have learned but you aren't and are about to be celebrating one of the happiest days of your life so go out there be happy be wonderful and know that the person standing next to you at the end of that isle loves you for who you are, worry not about your hair at least for a day
On a side note I know you like your natural products so perhaps this article might give you a bit of a warm feel.

Keep in mind that this child's case may be different to what each of us are going through but its an interesting read.
