I still do not understand
and I've spent wayyyy too much time on this.
Jacob, could you please reply him with the following:
I'm sorry but I'm still having a hard time interpreting those results.
I'll just use the last table as the reference, which says the effect of Nanolipo-hGH results in 11.17 hairs per 0.01 mm².
A 0.01 mm² squared area means 0.1 mm side, which is the same as 0.01 cm side and 0.0001 cm² area. So for a side 100x bigger, 1 cm, I have an area 10000x bigger. So that would mean 111700 hairs in just 1 cm²... which is just impossible.
Would it be possible to see a table similar to the last one but for an area of 1 mm² and 1 cm².
They clearly got their numbers wrong on this.
The bigger problem is, they (like any other company) can just say it was an innocent mistake and cook up other numbers, which may be completely false... and we never know the truth.
*sigh*
EDIT:
FWIW, I think it would be a good idea to look at (or inquire the companies regarding) the hair count numbers for a 1 cm² area. Despite of all the problems with using numbers, it would still give us more information.
On the previous post I said I found that the average human has 100-140 hairs per cm². I would really like to find a reliable source for this number.
Googling a bit more I just found:
- In the Caucasian, human hair density averages 2.2-2.3 hairs/mm². In Asians, the density averages approximately 1.6 hairs/mm² and in Africans, is averages approximately 1.3 hairs/mm². (this means 220-230 hairs per cm²... +100 more hairs than the value I previously found)
- The average density of hair on an adult who does not have baldness is 200-300 hair fibers per square centimeter (cm2). The crown is the region that is most densely packed with hair follicles. In adults the sides and back of the scalp may have a hair density as low as 150/cm2. For the crown of the scalp pre-puberty, the density is 250-400 hairs/cm2.
source
- The average human head of hair has a density of between 175-300 hairs per square centimeter.
200 hairs in 1 tiny cm² still seems very very crowded, but I guess that's the way it is. Just look at one of keys of your keyboard... now imagine 200 hairs there. Now close your eyes and imagine your head with 300 hairs per cm² all the way
Well... back to reality
