6-month propecia update

Post by Tricia » Tue Apr 11, 2006 6:56 am

I would say that it is helping to slow things down. I didn't take any pictures, but it seems like I have more hair on top of my head where I very first noticed my hair was thinning over 2 years ago.

If it is growing additional hair for me, then it would be on very top of my head and towards the back that is benefiting. My hairline looks the same :P

Tricia, I'm glad it's working for you. Are you going to continue using it? Maybe eventually you'll see more results.

Yeah, I'm going to continue to use it. When I first started using minoxidil, I didn't see any positive results until the 7-month mark so it is still very early to judge my propecia experience.

Finasteride is for men only. Use by women is off label. It is prescribed to some women to treat hirstutism (excess facial hair).

If a woman wants to try finasteride, she must be sure that she will not get pregnant as it will most likely cause deformities of a male fetus.
