No, I never tried oral spiro. If they prescribe oral spiro to a woman, they also prescribe birth control pills at the same time. Forgive me if this is way too much info for you, but you did ask . The reason they prescribe birth control pills is that spiro will cause irregular menstrual cycles. The birth control pills will counteract that.
But, I blame my FPB on birth control usage. I believe it jumps starts the balding process in women who are vulnerable to it. Plus, the synthetic hormones make me insane.
I've been taking propecia for 2 months now. I have not noticed any negative side effects from propecia.
My shed rate is down, but that might be seasonal and not related to propecia. Really it's too soon to tell if propecia will help my hair.
