OSR#1® is a toxicity free, lipid soluble antioxidant dietary supplement that helps maintain a healthy glutathione level. OSR#1® does so by scavenging ROS (free radicals) thereby salvaging the naturally produced glutathione. Both OSR#1® and glutathione scavenge free radicals, allowing the body to maintain its own natural detoxifying capacity.
OSR#1™, unlike other antioxidants, is lipid-soluble, also known as fat-soluble. Other antioxidants are water-soluble. This is an important distinction, because lipid-soluble compounds like OSR#1™pass easily through other lipids, whereas water-soluble compounds, like other antioxidants, do not. Because every cell of the body has a cell wall made of lipid (called the phospholipid membrane), this distinction becomes profoundly important. In other words, OSR#1™, being lipid soluble, has the capacity and affinity for passing through cell membranes and can get inside of each cell where free radicals exist. Antioxidants that are water-soluble cannot get into the inside of each cell and therefore, even if they are competent scavengers, will not be given an opportunity to scavenge free radicals because they cannot get physically to the place the free radicals exist inside the cells.

I had asked about liposomal glutathione compared to this product:
The OSR works differently and is not metabolized by the cells of the body. We know that OSR enters cells where it scavenges the hydroxyl radicals that destroys glutathione and other vitamins as well as the cell membrane. In doing this OSR preserves the glutathione that is naturally made by the body. We have the data that shows OSR maintains a healthy glutathione level in those suffering from oxidative stress. Any glutathione that enters the blood stream by any process will be rapidly removed by the bilary transport system of the liver, OSR has a blood half life of 6-7 hours, much longer than most antioxidants. OSR also has one of the highest ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) scores of any antioxidant. I don't have any objections to liposomal glutathione but don't know how well it works. We do know that OSR is very stable on storage at room temperature and that its pharmacokinetics show effective delivery and removal from all cells of tissues tested.

Oh..and I forgot to add..there's this OSR product out there by Dr...
Anyway...to hear another side on this stuff..well most of it is the other side..
http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2010/ ... an_ind.php
Please note what kind of forum it is..and towards the end it kind of gets quiet when the actual what-is-it-made-of gets discussed. But the other side does have some good points..the ones who aren't so crazy

A few bits 'ole info here.
If you're interested in the capsule product..grab the 100mg for $60 or lesser that can be found out there. Ourkidsasd.com that I linked to above was the cheapest..but they took away just anyone being able to order it. I've found out those that are selling the 100mg for around $60 may have goofed up.
Another plus on using the powder- it does not contain magnesium stearate like the capsules do. If you want to stay away from it
I'm also told there's no worries with using it if you still have your amalgam/mercury fillings.

I see some sites are now selling that Protect(us) 120 transdermal glutathione product.

http://www.martinavenueshops.com/prodde ... ?prod=1891
More info on it:
http://www.maxlife.org/protectus.asp
Protectus 120™ is the world’s first “protected” glutathione. In short, it is protected as it goes through your blood stream and reaches the cells as a fat soluble substance. And since the cell walls are fatty, they easily absorb Protectus 120™ right through the cell walls and provide the immune boosting and repair functions that we only enjoyed in our youthful years.
Once you rub it on any part of your body, the product goes to work—often within a few hours
