He started his own forum and states he has a "strong relationship" with this site. I only found this out through a PM I received.

Hi there,
I haven't talked to him in a while mostly because I have been so busy with my own life, but that's true. We have a great relationship, and I'm sure he'll still participate here as he has expressed to me in the past that he likes the open exchange of info that we allow here.

Then why hasn't he posted/responded to posts here, even prior to him launching his own site?

Re: Where the heck is OMG?
I don't know. I'm assuming he is focused on his own site. It's been a while since I have been here so I wasn't aware of how long he hadn't been here. Anyway, in the grand scheme of things people will do what they feel is best for them. Maybe he has decided not to post here anymore. If that's the case I'm ok with it and have no hard feelings. If people are addressing him here and he chooses not to answer them that's his prerogative I guess. The world is a big place and lots of people are losing their hair. This forum has an overall great reputation, so I'm not going to fret over it either way.

Would you prefer people don't know the address of his new site, Sam?

Re: Where the heck is OMG?
The majority of the hair loss sites tend to frown upon the use of their forums to promote another forum, or to redirect people to another forum. I tend not to make a big deal if someone posts the occasional link to a legit forum thread in a discussion here, especially if that person is a regular poster here with a decent rep. If it gets excessive or if is from someone with a vested interest at another other forum, I generally consider that a form of advertisement or solicitation. It's usually pretty obvious when that is going on. In that case, I would ask that the company in question support HLF by purchasing ad-space or via some other form of contribution, and if they are unwilling to do that then of course I wouldn't allow them to post links to their business here. It really all comes down to intent.
Also, because of my life circumstances right now, I'm not here as much as I'd like to be. As the moderator here for years, I trust Jacob to make those kind of calls for the forum.
I hope that helps.
