Im in the process of mkaing a 150 diode helmet. I am using the Aixiz lasers ont he helmet. Do most people think they get better results with the lens caps on or off?

Most people take the lens caps off to give a bigger spread of the laser light.
OMG's design should mention this somewhere.

I read the reasoning behind removing the lens cap somewhere, but I don't remember where, so I cannot include a link. I will try to paraphrase accurately.

The lens caps focus the lasers. The clinic devices use focused lasers. It is not a problem for them since the laser hoods that they use are fixed in place, but not to your head. Your head can move around freely under these hoods, so the laser beam is not focused in one small spot the entire time.

With a laser helmet, the lasers are fixed to your head. If you use focused lasers, the beams will be too intense in a single spot during the entire treatment time and not spread evenly around your scalp.

This is what I recall regarding why it is important to remove the lens cap from each laser.

I removed the lenses with no positive results for what this is worth.

Good luck!
