Which Bentonite clay!?!?!?!?! HELP!!!!!

Post by greeko1987 » Fri Jan 01, 2010 10:32 pm

To all,

I am from Australia and I would like to know what would be the best Bentonite Clay to use b4 I use the laser helmet since there is so many types of bentonite clays and I am really confused which one to use. Also, what would be good steps to take full care of your hair, and with what products.

Thanx in advance,

Hey Greko,

The 'Laser Soreness' thread contains a discussion of which clays people have had success with. http://www.hairlossfight.com/forums/vie ... com#p11572

Thanx guys. I found Bentonite clay in australia. However, now I am looking

for a decent shampoo that also helps the hair and scalp. Any vitamins that might be helpful while I am using the laser helmet.

You know......all that kind of stuff because there is so much s**t out there that its hard to find the good one. I bet you have all seen that.

Jacob rates the lamas shampoo very highly, maybe have a look at that. There's always nizoral too which I still use (albei the Dr Lee version) and then follow it up with an awesome tea tree shampoo that I get from a place called Biome in QLD.

I do want to get into it but I think OMG's taking a break over the holiday so still waiting on an email from him.

Definitely worth a try cos you can add it to any regimen without getting in the way of what you're already doing. It's just the initial effort/cost that puts off most people. Still, with the addition of a 40 minute clay session I could end up spending 3 hours a week on it which I can't see myself being able to hide from friends/girlfriends. I'll see how it goes and let you know.

socceroo

if you go on google and type in Calcium Bentonite Clay it will come up with websites. http://www.echolife.com.au/catalog/calc ... onite-clay

I should be receiving it on Friday hopefully because I need to use the helmet today but will just skip it as I dont have the clay yet.

Also socceroo, do you have a laser helmet yourself? How does that go for you, how long have you been using it also. Satisfied?

I got mine on monday with 70 diodes from Anxious1.

Hey greko,

Thanks for that.

Nidge made me a laser helmet which i started using in April last year. After about a month a stupidly used it for 40min sessions which I believe accelerated my hair loss. I stopped in August and resumed treatment in early October. After 3 months of 15-18 min treatments 3 times a week I have no real progress to report. I would say my hair has continued to thin but I'm going to continue treatment until this time next year to properly assess my results.

Best of luck with your hair growing...make sure you let us know how it grows ;)

will do socceroo.

I dont know I am really skeptic with the laser helmet. find it really weird that if you use it for 20x3 a week it will work but if you go for more
then it might not. I dont know why that is but it sounds really weird because if like they say it works the muscles on the scalp and helps blood flow then its like when you go to the gym. the more you do bench press on the day and "destroy" your muscles then with the proper rest the day after and sleep it recovers it. Now if you give it a days rest with the helmet and proper "food" for the hair ...that is mag oil, bentonite etc.

So why that doesnt work with the helmet.

(if I am wrong on that thought ppl dont curse me..but now that I am thinking about it I am probably wrong....am I?!?!?!?!)

Think about being out in the sun. We need a certain amount of sunlight for the vitamin d and various other reasons but if you stay out in the sun too long you greatly increase the risk of skin cancer.

It's just too much of a good thing, bro.

But in saying that, there's always time for pudding.

Hey ppl

I first used the clay today. I let it dry and after I washed it off my hair felt really dry.

1st: is that normal?

2nd: Any tips on how to mix it properly? Because as soon as I put water in the powder it is hard to mix it after as it becomes like poo

Ok people,

Today I used the clay mix with bentonite, eucalyptus, peppermint, emu oil tea tree oil and I am currently using the laser. I dont know if its just me but I have started getting redness on my scalp. When I will use it again on Sunday and see any more will let you guys know. I am really hoping the laser works.

Just a question but, I have increased the laser from 3V to 4.5V is that ok or is it too much.

careful greeko, on overmachogrande he says they r 3.2 volts thats why he chooses 3 volts cos its the closest, 4.5 is farther away. I have no idea wat will happen, but thats about 400$ just for the diodes. they r aixiz ones and cost $3 US each, + shippinhg + exchange rate. wouldnt want u to blow them.

SUGAR will do anxious1

I used it on 4.5 that day only for one area so that should be alright. But it made my scalp very dry.

Also, it is still early to see results from it right?

I used it only 5 times.

dont expect anything for a while, u need to forget about it. expect a shed between 3 - 6 months (dont freak out), then regrowth between 9 and 12 months, then after 2 yrs u may be able to reduce usage to once a week or something, but dont quote me on that. bear in mind i have no idea how receded u r, the worse it is, the longer it will take. if ur temples have just miniturized, but not 'glazed over', then maybe theyll go terminal again, alot sooner.

my temples are not fully miniaturized YET but they are getting there, the front has been receding for 2yrs now, also they crown has recently started but hopefully after the time you told me it starts working. I can really cover everything atm but what I can do is take some pix of the areas and you can tell me what you think.

You said I should expect a shed between 3 - 6 months, then regrowth between 9 and 12 months...

Why is that

Well, after being on these forums for a few yrs, its just what people report. shedding happens because the growth cycle skips a stage or something, it happens with anything that legitamitly regrows hair.

and people report regrowth after 9 months, sometimes sooner, but i dont want to give u false hope.

if youve only got minor recession, or its just thinning, but not really balding, then maybe it will be alot sooner. noone can really predict it, and the fact is LLLT just like propecia, and minoxidil, doesnt work for everyone.
