3500 FUE with Dr Azar

After reading a lot of interesting reports here, I've finally decided to share my own story.

Dr Azar specialises in body hair transplants and beard hair transplants but that's not how I got to know him, it was because of something else that he does but anyway here's my story...all will become clear...!

I first noticed the signs of hair loss and receding temples when I was 21. Three years later I started to take Finasteride. I didn't get the impression at the time that this was helping much though and my hair loss seemed to become more and more severe so I stopped taking it.

I have to mention that my father had also had major hair loss in his time and now he has only a semi-circle of hair on the sides and back of his head so I knew it runs in the family.

I work as a hairdresser so I have a lot to do with hair every single day and the ever-increasing bald spot started to become a real issue for me.

A few years ago I started looking at the various forums and I stumbled upon the subject of hair transplants.

I visited a few doctors and a consultant to get some advice. They all wanted to use the strip technique apparently because the balding area was already too much for an FUE transplant to cover. They also said that an FUE transplant would damage the hair roots and wouldn't give a good result.

One of my own clients in the hair-dressing salon was the one who gave me the tip. She had had an eye-lash transplant from a specialist in Berlin called Dr Azar.

I went to see him and I decided to get it done with him once he had diagnosed the problem. He said an FUE transplant was not problem and he specialized in FUE with large balding areas.

The treatment was split into two sessions.

The first operation was to fill the crown area with 2000 grafts and the second was for the temples with 1500 grafts, six months later.

I took Dutasteride throughout this time on Dr Azar's recommendation. I didn't have any side-effects.

Here's how I looked before the operation:

Now here are the photos immediately after the first operation:

I'll be adding some more photos soon but for now happy new year!!
