natural anti-estrogens

Post by James » Wed Nov 09, 2005 6:14 pm

After getting some gyno from finasteride, I have been researching a little bit online about anti-estrogens more specifically natural anti-estrogens. What I came across just seems wierd to me. Stuff like saw palmetto and flax lignans are reported on some sites to be anti-estrogens. Jacob, Sam, anyone have any insight on this?

Do a search on Chrysin - i hear it's the best natural anti-estrogen

Gyno from finasteride?

confused :?

I didn't want to abandon my Saw Palmetto regimen after starting finpecia, so I stayed w/ half doses.

NanoScalp may fall into the catagory you're talking about. Dr. Yechiel started explaining the ingreds here: http://skincare-cosmeceuticals.com/topi ... c.php?t=34

Chrysin is mentioned.

At Lipoxidil you'll see Sophora Flavescens mentioned..in the Genistil products.

Sorry i dont understand what you mean by Gyno either? Has your sexual fuction been affected by propecia?

Also, I did look up Chrysin on the internet and it stops testosterone from being converted to DHT, wouldnt this affect the way proecia works?

When I say Gyno I mean gynecomastia which is male breast growth. After like four years of taking finasteride I started to experience breast pain and my breast size increased. I am not sure about Chrysin, I haven't looked into that yet, but I have been using DIM which is a natural anti-estrogen but I have not seen any results from it.
If the sides of finasteride are really concerning you then you should look into a topical regimen that inhibits DHT. A popular one that I have heard about is Spiro 5% cream along with Revivogen.

What kind of regrowth did you experience after four years of finasteride?

I didn't experience any regrowth with finasteride. The only thing that it did for me is possibly slow down my hair loss.
