Is beer good for hair?

Post by Dier1934 » Tue Nov 03, 2015 8:22 pm

Hi.. I am 23 and I have a serious hair loss. I tried almost all home remedies. My friend says that washing hair with beer is really good. Is it true?

I found it more damaging than good. You should use olive or coconut oil for hair problems.

As much as we all like to listen to our friends, I would say that this is some advice you should definitely ignore. The chemical compounds in beer will be far more damaging to your hair and will not help when it comes to proper hair growth. I am sure they meant well but please discard this advice. As SophieM commented, olive oil and coconut oil will help, but I strongly recommend coconut oil over olive oil because it has many well documented hair benefits. Some other substances that work very well for hair are Rosemary oil, Aloe Vera and Jamaican castor oil. I hope this helps you and whoever reads this next!! \:D/
