Hi Jacob,

Thank you for helping me post these picture updates. I am very excited about my new hair regrowth with using the Nanogen Scalproller and VEGF plant-deerived growth factor serum. After nearly five months, I see improvements and maybe even hope to the road of recovery.

Obviously, I still have lots of progress to make. Currently, with the change of season, I am experiencing some hair loss. But I will remain positive and continue all that I have been doing right with my hair treatment. I hope these pictures give all the forum members inspiration and hope for their hair loss.

As can be seen, most of my hair thinning is in the frontal area and overall hair thinning which cant really be seen as my hair is thick.
I feel a little self-conscious about posting my hair loss but I wanted to show my hair progress.

Cheers,
Natasha26

Thanks Jacob, for helping me uploading these. I wanted to show to you guys that all my efforts to treat my hair are paying off. I don't know if you can see all the new hair regrowth in the pics but I see them and I never got those kind of new hair growth with any treatments before. So, isolating the treatment I have been using for nearly five months, I attribute the success to Nanogen Scalproller and Serum VEGF for my new hair regrowth.

But for my hair looking good, I attribute that to my hair care treatments using Phyto, Leonor Greyl and Valmont. These products have turned my hair from crappy to looking healthy again. Thanks Israelite. I think I am on the right track but still lots of thinning areas to fill which I don't know if they will completely ever grow back but I remain hopeful with new technological innovation that may happen.

Cheers,
Natasha26

Your hair looks very beautiful, silky smooth in fact... I'd go so far as to say that your hair looks extremely healthy and your scalp seems to be of a nice texture. (no irritations, flakes or anything)

Whatever you are doing you're doing well, tell me aside from people telling you that you're crazy for spending so much money have they actually expressed interest in your results as I gather your overall hair quality has improved since starting your fight.

Hmm I have long hair and am sooo jealous now and I'm a normal heterosexual guy, I wish my hair was that healthy!
Don't mistake my optimism for stupidity

Hi Fizzball, thank you for your encouragement, it means a lot.

No people don't make nice comment on my hair really as it was much more beautiful before, really long up to my waist and most people like long hair I think.

Healthy hair can be achieved if you treat your scalp really well. That is why so many companies are doing pre-shampoo scalp treatment to really get into the scalp and bring hair health.

Hair companies that I have used and currently using for scalp treatment are: Philip Kingsley Scalp mask which contains Salicylic acid to exfoliate the scalp, Phytopolleine by Phyto which contains the most concentrated essential oils in a 25 ml botanical concentrate including Sage, Rosemary, Cajeput, Complexe 5 by Rene Furterer which really warms up the scalp using lavender and orange essential oils, Huile Regenerescence Naturelle by Leonor Greyl which has rose chilli oil, J.F.Lazartigue Propolis Jelly which uses propolis to regulate oily scalp and calm inflammation and Valmont Hair Repair with coconut oil, rose and marigold as well as Vitamin A to strengthen scalp metabolism. I also use argan oil for my scalp. I use all these in rotation to treat my scalp but the most effective could really be the Complexe 5 and Phytopolleine. They really stimulate the scalp.

Since doing those scalp treatment combined with the scalp roller, my scalp has improved alot. There are other hair care which do scalp treatments like Kiehl's and Carita which I haven't tried. Carita is supposedly the "haute couture" for hair.

Cheers,
Natasha26

That "part" seems to be showing just a bit less- you've got some different shots this time around so it's hard to say for sure. Both sets do not look that bad at all imo..I think you're doing great so far 8)

Those areas that have thinning patches, these are so hard to fill in.

My life seems to revolve around hair. Whatever I do it just always seem to be not enough for me.

I think most ppl in these forums are like that though. If someone regrew all their hair then they'd want it even thicker too..

You are right Jacob, well will have to continue the treatments and see the results in the long run.

I am currently on my six month of treatment with Nanogen Scalproller, Nanogen serum VEGF and Intervention for women supplement and this combined treatment is working really well for me. I have new regrowth all over my scalp which has become longer, I have fewer hair loss and the results motivate me to continue with the Nanogen hair loss treatment.

After six months of treatment, I also have fewer hair loss. I now aim to target the thinning patches and see if I can regrow more hair there with the Nanogen VEGF serum.

Hi Natasha,

I was curious about the VEGF. Nanogen says they are the only ones that use this bio-identical growth factor but Dermaheal uses the exact same one for a number of years now. Do you know anything about that?

Also I wanted to ask you if you have noticed any minitizuration of your hair or is it normal thickness but just sheds?

Thank you...

Hi Megan,

Welcome to the forum.

For the first part, I don't know, I will have to research on that but if anyone else can shed light on this, please do so.

During the last several years, I did notice some hair miniaturization but since a year now of intensive hair loss treatment, I dont ntice this tendency anymore.

In fact, I would say that the Nanogen VEGF combined with the Scalproller and Intervention for Women has thickened my hair at the root.

Hi Megan,

To answer your question regarding whether my scalp itched when I first used the Scalproller and VEGF serum the answer is yes and it still itches abit when I use the scalproller followed by the serum. That is how I know the serum is really working on my scalp but the feeling isnt uncomfortable and certainly doesn't last long. I would say 15 minutes and then it gets back to normal.

Let us know how the Nanogen VEGF and scalproller is working for you.

Are you also using the Nanogen Intervention for Women?

I asked Nanogen about the difference between their products and Dermaheal and the important differences they point out are:

1. Nanogen's growth factor starts from a bio-identical synthetic gene. This means that no human material is used at any point, completely removing the risk of prion transfer and CJD.

2. By a patented process this gene is implanted into a plant, not the more common yeast or bacteria. This means the product has incredibly low cytotoxins, which are toxins made by certain yeasts and bacteria that can damage the growth factors or cause adverse reactions.

3. Growth factors extracted from non-plant sources have protease enzymes which break down the growth factors, rendering them inactive before use. Nanogen plant derived growth factors have a very low protease profile, ensuring the growth factors remain active.

4. Nanogen's growth factors have been efficacy tested in their finished formulation.

I am very satisfied with my amazing progress with Nanogen and I hope to capture these progress in pictures. I was afraid that there might be side effects of hair loss when I first started using it and also if I stopped but I tested both conditions and so far and cross fingers no such things happened to me.

Hope this helps Megan.

Natasha

Hi there. I have been using Nanogen now for 2 months and the shedding has been non stop from day one. Did you experience this as well? I am seriously afraid of continuing to use this product as I think I will end up totally bald from it. Did you experience any shedding? How long before the shedding stopped and did you regain what the shedding lost?

Thanks

Hi FightingBack26,

Yes I experienced shedding up to three months of treatment but after that it stabilises and my hair has definitely been replaced and moved into another stronger cycle. Since using Nanogen, my hair feels much more resistent and dont shed easily as opposed to before. But you have to be patient with this treatment because it really works at the cellular level I believe.

See if your hair loss stabilises in the third month and also I use the Scalproller and Nanogen supplement with the serum, do you?

Hi everyone,

I am feeling very crappy as my hair has started falling again. Out of nowhere it just started falling more when I wash it. I will never have my hair back.

This time I was having such a measurable progress in terms of regrowth now its all going down the drain!

I feel very miserable.

Can anyone else give updates about their hair? Jacob? Israelite? Fizzball?

@Jacob: Thank you so much for posting them for me. Cheers! I want to add the link to Leonor Greyl treatment.

@Israelite: There isn't difference as much in hair density as in hair health, shine and texture, wouldn't you say?

I credit that to the Masque Quintessence and Creme aux Fleurs. No other hair conditioner has ever made my hair look this shiny. That picture was taken after three color process that week and I was amazed at the shine and health of my hair.

But I am experiencing hair loss at this moment and it makes me want to give up all my treatment. I wonder what would happen if I stop using topicals on my scalp. I see lots of women with thinning hair and they don't do anything about it. They don't get obsessive compulsive like I am getting about it.

But I am experiencing hair loss at this moment and it makes me want to give up all my treatment. I wonder what would happen if I stop using topicals on my scalp. I see lots of women with thinning hair and they don't do anything about it. They don't get obsessive compulsive like I am getting about it.
no i think your hair count is actually better now

What are you using Israelite?

I had great progress with Nanogen VEGF serum as you know but since several weeks, it has stopped working its miracle on my hair and it's falling again.

My hair is all over the place, on the floor, in the bathroom, on my pillow, on my cloth, everywhere.

Can you believe this never ending nightmare?

I have been using Nanogen vegf for two months now and to be honest I have not noticed a single difference at all, my hair looks the same if you ask me, I have noticed some shedding of small hairs whilst I massage my scalp upon application but aside from that my hair is falling out at the regular rate, my hair fall has decreased since using revita shampoo and conditioner and my scalp has improved due to the addition of the shampoo and conditioner but aside from that nanogen has made little to no difference thus far however I will continue using it for 6 months and assess the changes at a later date.

Btw I am also using the nanogen 0.5 scalproller.

Looking at your hair its hard to say at this point as the pictures prior it looks like you just had a hair cut, stylised, some kind of straitening treatment and also a different hair colour.

Hi Fizzball,

I feel my hair has increased a bit in density but the thinning areas hasn't been filled with hairs and I don't think it ever will.

I honestly think I can only strive to maintain the hair that I have and aim to keep it healthy.

I am not using Nanigen everyday anymore and I use it less and less.

I agree with your assessment, however as I mentioned its hard to tell as the current rounds of pictures are almost worlds apart. If you maintain the hair you currently have then you are still 100% better of then most of us here, you still have a full head of hair with perhaps a minor hair loss. You hair and scalp quality seem to be very good from what I can tell and it also bods well that you have a more dense strand of hair thus in my opinion means it is less prone to breakage and gives the illusion of a more complete head of hair so you may be able to get away with a hell of a lot more than someone like me which has a much lighter density hair. Perhaps an alternative path for you would be nanofibres if it really bothers you that much.

I've been applying nanogen vegf daily and at first i scalprolled my scalp daily too but have since began randomising it, but it in itself has not impacted the study at all.
