Ive been noticing some mild soreness on my scalp since applying minoxidil solution, especially when i wake up i feel my hair shafts seem to hurt. Im assuming any irritation and pain is obviously from alcohol content of such products, essentially i want to know does the alcohol have more of negative effect on the hair regrowth then the positive effects of the minoxidil. Can the effects from the alcohol cause more hair loss, or does it just irritate your scalp without actually affecting the hair regrowth ?

I think it could be something other than the alcohol. Is there propylene glycol in it? I"ve read that for some it is the minoxidil.
